Just got the Wunderladen Dip Stick through @Unity Performance. This is so much easier to read the oil level. Do not know what they were thinking with the stupid orange tip.

Does it appear that the High to low range has increased on the W dipstick? The crosshatched section looks greater than the distance between the two holes of the OEM dipstick High and Low

Hope the OAL is the same as OEM too

I think your better off short shifting 1st and 2nd anyway not really necessary since I found if you don’t there is traction issues .
Stickier tires or ask your tuner to drop tq in first gear via more aggressive boost by gear

U know how positive displacement superchargers spool immediately? Imagine a fwd supercharged car. The ion redline and cobalt ss’s were unlaunchable. Full stop. Until hptuners solved the ecu. The boost in first was managed via a tune and it was a totally different story 😂

I guess my age is showing

I’m on the stock tune just an exhaust and intake but Yeah for sure if I was racing and tuned it and definitely stickier tires. But in the twisties on the street the Michelin 4s do a fine job even on the track I heard if your not driving 100% and at a top notch driving level. Where I notice traction loss is just doing some fun spirited pulls 😆Also I noticed when I raced motorcycles the stickier tires gripped better but gave you less notice when they were going to break loose were as a lesser stickier tire would let you slide around a little and hence giving you more time to interact so you didn’t end up high siding 😳
I miss racing on the track

The type r seems to have some reduction in first and second. I’ve noticed this vs my type s! I’m on the stock tune and in twisties, sometimes I can’t give it all the gas too soon. Where as on the type r (according to the exhaust note) seems to be fine going flat out

I’m back and forth on tuning. If I ever go through with it. I’d want the type r’s tq reduction in first and second!

Dope pics btw! That bad boy sounds healthy!

Took the little HotRod to the bank and beer run 😆
Then ceramic coat refresh on the cf wing with a nice reflection of my last trip to the range 😅
Then covered her up to keep that ocean air that seeps threw the garage door off my pampered little girl :)

Thanks Brother ! When I look at the pics my heart starts racing again to lol. I’d tune mine just for fun and 3rd gear pulls would be awesome . But I’ve got the extended warranty so not going to mess with cracking the ecu for minimal gains unless your doing a full on build. It’s nice to know our FL5’s have the potential of making so much power and safely 🙌

Ready to bite the bullet on paragon rotors front and rear. I finally decided on pads (spec cp from counter space. I do not track but do hit the fun roads with friends several times a year in spring and summer).

I do have a question. Any of the hardware on the car are tq to yield/stretch bolts? Or can I reuse?

thnx!

Took a little time during my lunch to install shifter cable bushings. Such a better install with the Hybrid Racing bushings. Did not have to deal with the pain in the ass retaining rings like with the Acuity bushings. Also I did not have to remove the entire battery and battery tray, just the stock air box. Even with the little room I had with the charge pipe and harness in the way, it still made for an easy install.

The Hybrid Racing shifter cable bushings and the Acuity 4 Way Adjustable shifter together just makes shifting even notchier and more direct. I had the stock bushings with the Acuity shifter and still felt a slight bit of sponginess when shifting. That is all gone now.
