After further thoughts, if I lower it, I'd probably want more camber, so I think I would get front lower ball joints and rear camber arms. I'm leaning towards Hardrace for both.

had my Black Friday splurge installed at local Discount Tire: Apex EC-7 18x9.5 with Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus 265/35 R18

first impressions are very promising, not only am I confidently leaving the house in freezing temps not having to worry I'm damaging my summer tires but Civic takes rough roads much more comfortably than the OEM wheels and tires; tire noise if not less is maybe different in tone, steering feel to me isn't affected much imo.

Apex email support has been very helpful and Discount Tire experience was quite positive as well.
