Nope no instructions
Awesome, I’m not an idiot at least, a bit surprised that there weren’t some kind of instructions or a link to an install video or something. Still waiting on a response from Wagner…

No instructions on the website, no instructions in the box, no installation video, and still waiting to hear back from them? You pay about $1,000 for this thing and you're left to figure it out. This is unacceptable on multiple fronts. This isn't a catback exhaust or a drop-in panel filter.

Uh, my car is in my garage in pieces and has been that way since Saturday…

Needless to say, I’m not pleased…

I'll try to reach out to Germany and see if I can get some information that way. The US representation has let me down so far. Unless someone has already tried this and I overlooked it.

I've given PRL a lot of shit over the last 18 months, but shout out to them for making installation instructions, an installation video, and data on their intercooler readily available. The community appreciates it.

FWIW, I reached out a couple weeks back and haven't heard from them.

Reached out to the main folks in Germany Saturday on Facebook messenger and I’ve heard nothing. If I don’t hear anything back in the next day or so, I’ll likely just make my own damn brackets and move on.

I did talk to two people at Wagner USA today and they said they were waiting on a response from Germany because they didn’t have any instructions. They did say the brackets included were correct but didn’t have any guidance as to how to use them.

Man, this has been a bust.
I had a Wagner IC on my Mk7 Golf R. Full E85 tune and it performed great.

Still, this one seems over large, and the teething issues aren’t great.

I had a Perrin IC on my FK8, and it was really good. Not sure if they make one for the FL5, but I’d happily go that route again.

So I got an update from my guys, for it to fit properly, I guess the first batch is missing:

1). Top Bracket x 2
2). M8x16 self-tapping screws x 2

So then what are the brackets that came with it used for? I spoke with Wagner again this morning. They don’t have instructions and are waiting for Germany to get that ready as stated here already. But they again confirmed it should be a direct swap and the hardware included is all you need.

They isolate the intercooler between the condenser and crash bar. They make sure it stay stable and doesn’t wiggle. You’ll see the L bracket and rubber isolator right above the crash in thics below
