Intercooler install question

Getting ready to install mine. But I have a question. Am I actually supposed to use the dielectric grease on the o rings? Been watching how to’s on YouTube and the majority of folks aren’t doing that.

I would recommend applying a thin layer as I mentioned in this post. If you have air tools, dielectric grease also works very well to lubricate the ball bearings and O-ring on the female fittings.

Use the grease, it doesn't hurt anything by using it and it helps maintain the seals.

Use some shinEtsu grease.
That is another option to consider. Both shin etsu and dielectric grease are waterproof, non-conductive and silicone based. Dielectric grease on the other hand can also be used in plumbing applications to lubricate potable water fittings.
