I just ordered 2 straps. I think that’s the correct threading for the OEM rear tow. The idea would be to thread it and tuck in the strap when not in use.

I think he took the shaft from the evasie and welded a hook.

Appart from that I am not seeing how you could get this strap to work in the back

I know this post is a little old now, but Honda Dream Shop has an updated HRC tow strap that now includes all the mounting hardware and instructions for installation.

I dont know about an extension, but there is a bumper beam spacer you drop in since the bumper beam is just a hollow square beam, probably to make sure there is still structural integrity.

If anyone gets the updated version it would be nice to see what actually comes with it and whether it’s useful. Considering these are universal parts.

I got mine installed a few weeks ago and it came out nicely I thought. The front tucks in nicely when not in use. The rear requires the Evasive tow hook shaft and boring out the hole a bit to allow the bolt to pass through and thread into the EVS tow shaft.

I got the new HRC tow strap kit since I was really curious what's included...

It did not come with instructions - it comes with a bolt, a washer, a nut, and a sleeve for the bolt - which is the "bumper beam spacer".

No instructions included.

I believe they were supposed to email the instructions.

I got the tow strap kit and didn't receive instructions either. I just emailed the sales team and will report back what they say.

yeah would love to see what the extra hardware is and instructions.

I do think on their car they cut the bumper so this probably mounds in a place where the bumper will have to be cut.
