Hi, I just wanted to get some opinions out there. I do notice hi end performace cars do not get tinted in general & This is a daily car for me and yes I am in Florida. I usually just leave the car parked outside during the daytime while at work w the windows rolled down a crack to ventialte the inside during the hot summers we recive here unfortunatly. Something tell me this car looks nicer without tint and I did notice the white etching at the lower part of the glass specifying the letters UVS (SNI). I am thinking this would be similar to Lexus brand glass for example (not your avaerage run of the mill standard vehicle grade glass). I am more concerned with buring my forearms while driving during the daytime, but if the glass itself assists in preventing this then I am fine without tint. If anyone on here knows how much UV is being blocked naturally without tint that would be appreciated !

I think tint makes these cars look better IMO. South Florida as well, so the tint is a must.

I say for a daily driver, definitely tint if you live in a hotter climate. If you don't want it dark you can get a light/clear ceramic, and it should have about the same same UV and heat rejection. The big one for me was getting the windshield done. I got a 50% ceramic tint for the front, its not too dark to be noticeable and just enough to help with glare and still have perfect visibility at night. The front doors I got a 30-35% and the rear doors and hatch 15%.

I'm in the camp of cars looking better without tint. I'm likely in the minority though. Zero interest in tinting the FL5 or the Porsche. Many of the performance cars you see without tint are likely not daily drivers. It's common for these cars to not be tinted.

On the other side of this, fishbowl in FL, AZ, NV, TX, and certain parts of CA will be challenging. But again, if it's not a daily - hard pass on the tint.

I am on the fence about it but I mainly like tint. But I prefer tint for privacy like I could put stuff in the back of the car and not worry about it. I can text and someone behind me cannot see. Also the car run cooler and when driving it not as bad.

Since I transferred to the courthouse I had to give up my patrol car.

I figured if people are able to see me speeding and notice I’m in my pickle suit because there is no tint, it’s just not a good look.

I purchased my fl5 in Chicago in December and we moved down to Dallas a few months back so thought I would need tint. I really hate the look of tint in general and don’t mind the “fishbowl” look since I think it looks classy. I work from home in Dallas, but have a little one that sometimes rides along. It gets super hot here so I decided to go with a 50% ceramic tint. My tint guy said the car already has some “factory tint” but it doesn’t provide any UV protection. I wish I went with 70% but the UV protection drops on clear film, but honestly I don’t care. However, I will say my car stays pretty cool with the tint but honestly if I could avoid tint I would.

I personally have 5% all around 35% on windshield. I enjoy the privacy and I like the look. On my 10th gen i went 35% all around no windshield. I think its definitely personal preference. i enjoy my dark tint now though

Like @Clark_Kent I am not a fan of tints. I think cars look way better without em. I live the fish bowl life, nice to know some people live that way too. I know Chris Harrys also not a fan of tints.

I actually have tints on my other car but they are clear lol, it just protects against UV and keeps the car cool. Id consider that for this car if I drove it enough.

I enjoy tints. I think it makes the car look better, more privacy, etc… they are also easily removable later as well.

I bought a 26 Si and I haven't tinted my car but got it lined up for next week to get a brow, back windows limo and front windows 30. I like the privacy and having light eyes it helps with reflection and tones the light down on the inside of the vehicle.

The only way to get an untinted Honda in AZ would be to buy ahead of the car arriving at the dealer.
That being said, I prefer tint for privacy and heat/UV rejection. I use a Weathertech sunshade in the windshield if parked outside, so no windshield tint.

Backup cameras eliminate my worst complaint about tint, seeing while reversing. Tint also helps at night with headlight glare in mirrors.

TINT - I purchased my car at night, drove it home, next day it was driven to the tint shop. No regrets. If you're that conflicted, there's clear ceramic tint w/ decent UV protection. If you wish to splurge, there's electric tint. You can switch it on and off.

I don't have tint, but I also have a garage at home and a parking deck at work, so its rarely parked outside in the sun for very long.

I do recommend getting a heatshield for the front window. Definitely helps with interior temps in the summer months.
