CMP killed my brakes when I went out there! I was shocked at how fast they wore.
I destroyed a new set of pads in a single session there in 2003, and quit going back for that reason. I only started going back a couple of years ago

In the CTR in April, I had just over 1/16" pad wear front and rear. 115 miles on track, Ferodo DS3.12.

That's not bad at all. I nuked at set of 3.12's there, but I still had my dust shields on.

Only thing I found rough with CMP was fuel starve in T12 in my A90. And uh, the exit of T10 when you don't lift at 135 mph

Also oof -- I just went back and watched the video of my 1:37.1 -- the car is SO unstable everywhere it makes me sad. The JRZ's just went on before the event, and I didn't dial anything in. The car looks so upset everywhere.

A little off topic of tires etc and I did post this in the “emissions and rev match” thread. I figured folks following this thread may have more experience with this issue.

I just got this error code “rev match” and “emission system problem” this weekend twice at gingerman. Both happened on Sunday with 3/4-full tanks of fuel. Interestingly It happened on the exact same part of the track turn 10. I should have video of it on my Garmin. Car went into limp mode I think it was about 3K rpm. I disconnected both terminals of my battery and it cleared itself after driving for a couple mins. I know there is a recall on the fuel pumps which my cars VIN is not currently included. Has anyone had the HPFP replaced under warranty/recall and does the recall solve the problem? For me this would be a problem I can not live with. I now don’t trust the car to not go into limp mode and ruin my track session/day. I May have to move on from this platform. Very frustrating indeed.

Yup! I have my HPFP replaced under warranty last September and the problem hasn’t come back. I also top off after every session now to not stress the pump.
How were you able to get it replaced under warranty? Did you come in with the code/fault. I cleared it by disconnecting the battery and the dealer is like ohh we have to see the code blah blah. How the hell am I going to limp the car home 180 miles or tow it so they can interrogate the ECU. The first time it happened I had a full tank of gas to start the session.

I drove it home with the code. It self cleared after sitting, but it was still logged with the freeze frame in the ECU. Limping it just means you can’t go over a certain RPM. It was fine to drive home

I cleared it manly bc I still had 3 sessions left!! Haha. I guess I shouldn’t have cleared it the second time. I’m sure it will happen again. Did the dealer replace it immediately based on that initial code. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I had the same thing happened to my FK8. Got it at WGI. Tried clearing the codes but didn’t work. But luckily not in limp mode. Drove home. Went to the dealership. Since it was leased, they replaced the fuel pump under warranty. Then I traded it in for the FL5.

for those who track their FL5, do you guys have any issues with the car pulling to the side (to the right in my case) during high speed threshold braking ??
I have tracked my FL5 three times using stock tire and i didnt have this issue, but during last week track day with new lightweight wheels and 200TW tires, I am getting this pulling when braking at the end of the straightaways at the track.

I am unsure if it was a me issue, or the car, I probably need to take a video to see if I am pulling the steering during threshold braking since I have no bucket or harness to hold me down.

When I have this issue, I am driving in individual mode with pedal dance.. I am not sure if it was any of the car traction control is causing this.

Right now I am at a lost, not sure what to check.. the brakes looks good and the fluid are fresh, and I always bleed at least the fluid in the caliper before any track day (4x pump and bleed on every bleeder valve on the caliper).

When did you last have an alignment performed?

When did you last have an alignment performed?
probably about a week before the track day when I test install the new wheels and tire..
-3.5 Camber up front and 0 toe
-1.5 Camber in the rear and 0.03Degrees toe in

Took it to a good alignment shop that does alignment for track rats :) so they are willing to work with you on the settings and make adjustment to custom suspension parts.
