getting an alum rig + bucket has changed everything, I been playing everyday lol. iracing can be annoying and its hard to get into to but nothing like winning a race in iracing, the competition is crazy. Its pretty fun.

I did not want a crazy uncomfortable bucket so I got one of these

actually pretty damn comfortable, can seat on this thing all day long vs a real bucket like an NRG (actually bought one but it was a bit tight and uncomfortable, I am a big dude though). Now I need to upgrade the pedals and wheel lol
Comes with seat belts I'm sold! Thanks for the link that looks really nice. I don't have an awesome wheel or pedals, but I have a feeling a nice seat would make all the difference for 1 hour+ sessions. I'll probably make room for it in my office and then I can use it on conference calls ?

This reminds me of the late 90s when I was over clocking AMD CPU and stuck as many heat sinks and fans as I could piggy back power source to on the motherboard.

I'll shoot them an email as soon as I'm done refinancing my FL5 for 144 months. Then I can get some new parts with a Klarna payment plan

I just have a thurstmaster, its been great but if I keep playing everyday or so I will have to upgrade to a nice direct drive wheel. The thing is when spring is back we will see how much I seat at the computer

I'm currently running an overclocked AMD with a giant ass fan ?

We might need to start a Sim Thread I’ve been happy with my basic NRG bucket seat.

Yesterday was a pretty eventful day at the track!! I was able to meet @Icehawk and finally break the sub 1:40 barrier at Homestead Miami Speedway!!

I also recently became MSF Level II certified. I’ll post more details about it in my build thread. I highly recommend getting certified it’s an amazing learning experience and really helped me grow as an instructor and driver.
I have my level 1. Very interested in level 2!

While iracing does service updates they let you try any of the cars on any track for free so I went and got the type R TCR (fk8) on VIR full course (been a while since I had done full course on the sim, I had just done ViR north a few weeks ago). What a great track, really pumped me up for coming down in May hopefully. Best time was a 2:08:207 after doing a few laps, thats pretty slow for that car in that track but I am a iracing noob and didn’t play enough. That said made me feel how fast @PointByPatrol goes on that track,l cuz even at my crapy sim time it felt like I was flying. The 2 straights are crazy and I think max speed I hit was 139?. I am buying this car today l, think track is free so I can do a few more laps, I been playing the m2 cs racing and compared to the fk8 that car is a handful lol.
I've also sim raced the Type R TCR. With the nannies removed, I was able to turn a 2:02 or a 2:01 IIRC. My buddy Anthony was able to run sub 2's. I was also really good at crashing the car constantly.
