Dealers only get 1 or 2 right? So all they need is to find one schmuck buying willing to pay markup and they make a nice profit. So I understand them not wanting to let go of their only car at MSRP.
The dealer I purchased mine from in Ohio has sold at least 3, including mine, since the beginning of the year. I know that at least 2 of us purchased for under MSRP. I'm pretty sure that 3rd one was also below MSRP since I was given a price and I agreed on my championship white. 1 boost blue remaining.

It depends on the dealership. The FL5 I purchased two years ago is the only one the dealership received. The dealership two miles from me has received about 10 since release in late 2022. I'm certain the high volume dealership in CA or FL have received 2x that amount.

honda bases allocation off the dealers market size, CSI score (customer satisfaction), how many of the vehicle you sold the year prior and how fast you sell them. there's dealers here in NC that get none and there's some guys that get 4-5 per year

CW seems to be the one color with the best shot at below MSRP. 3 out of every 4 made are CW, so if color isn't an issue, then that is where I would attack for an under MSRP deal. BB would prob be 2nd in that order.

I.. Maybe? But the ones I have looked at 2 or 3 around me have been cycling through their CTR inventory fast.. They have had 3 or 4 on the lot at a time or sold and in transit. In fact I got mine this past October and for s&giggles I checked the dealer that had a Grey '25 that wanted 15k ADM and its still there for sale LOL. Let them rot I say.

I believe location of the dealership is far more important than color. Doubtful you're getting a below MSRP deal in Miami, FL irrespective of color.

Most looking in forums want CW.

Agreed.... most of the under MSRP deals I've seen are on CW. I think just because of the sheer amount of them that are produced.

Things are going to start heating up though literally and figuratively, so this may be the last good month to grab a deal.

What dealership is asking doesn't mean what cars are selling for. Calling or sending emails your never going to get the price they will take.
I was literally told 20k ADM over the phone. This was in February last year. I bought the car for MSRP after 20 minutes of negotiation and my check placed on the managers desk.
And then everyone at the dealership started clapping.

I just spent time finding a dealership selling at MSRP out of the gate because I wanted to give my money to a dealership that wasn't fucking people over from the release of these cars. /shrug

Are there really that many people who want a Type R and haven't bought one? I'm only in that category cause I've been overseas for 3 years.

Is it still so hard to get MSRP that people are going several states away?

I need to buy in New England this July.
It is still a thing. The lowest I was able to find here in Florida was 2k over msrp that’s just addendum not including anything else that they will try to say is part of the msrp like dealer installed accessory add ons (floor mats, trunk mat, etc)

Anywho, I did finally get lucky and just signed on one for MSRP in Ohio that is still in transit. Will be getting shipped to me and my trade in picked up from home.

I’ll post the salespersons business card here tomorrow when he sends it over. Smooth signing process. No pushy add ons at financing. Everything was clear.

I just placed my deposit for a CTR in transit to OH! Which dealership did you work with in OH? And are you arranging your own transportation?

Lindsay Honda and nope they are handling all the transport. I also asked to have all the interior plastics remain on. I’ll have the car detailed once it arrives at my house. As of today the car was still in transit, from California
