So my 2025 FL5 started getting this ticking noise when it turns right, doesn't happen on left turns. The noise is pretty sharp, but seems almost like a rock is stuck in the rotor (like I've read a million times on the forums). A quick Google search said it might be lug nut torque or brake caliper torque. I'm gonna check sometime this weekend when I get a chance, has anyone else experienced this?

It could also be the worm wheel gear that was recalled. I had a slight clicking at slow speeds, like parking, that went away when I had the recall procedure completed on the worm gear.

Also, there is a "ticking" noise on the driver's side when the car in direct sunlight. The tick under that situation is related to the expansion of the black trim piece on the outside of the window frame (the wide vertical piece). It's attached with a double sided tape and makes a "ticking" sound you can hear when you're stopped and the drivers side is getting cooked by the sun.

Did the worm gear recall affect the 2025 type Rs? I never got a notice for it.

I should mention I only hear the noise when the windows are open. The car is garage kept kept too, and the noise only appears immediately. Really hope it's a rock haha

You can search you vin on the internet or open your honda app to see if you're subject to a recall. Mine is a 2024 so older than yours.

If you only hear it when the driver's window is open, I am wondering if its the "ticking" window molding on the driver's side. If its a rock stuck in the brake dust cover, I have heard of people finding an empty parking lot and doing some hard reversing to dislodge the rock.

A bad outer CV joint makes a clacking noise in tight turns. Sounds like large ball bearings knocking together.
I've only replaced Honda CV axles due to drag racing starts.

Yeah, doesn't sound like ball bearings, more like a tiny metal string hitting the wheels (like 1 per rotation).

A few weeks ago I was having the same issue a noise when making a right turn . So I decided to clean my wheels and rotate my tires . Before installing the wheels I checked all the brake heat shields for stuck rocks and guess what, the left rear had small rocks . The fell out by shaking the the heat shield . Test drove the car making right turns no more noise

Yes and no, basically was just rocks trapped in the brake dust shield. The sound usually returns when I go through a certain area so I came to the conclusion that there was something there that kept getting trapped.

Just switched to winter tires and have yet to hear it too.

dang... did you have to take off the wheel to try to get them out? Usually rocks make much louder noises for it to be a click.... did it go away fully for any period of time?

Yeah, I did have to take off the wheels, my biggest worry was that it was my cv axle, but that looks perfect. It usually goes away until I would drive through the same area, but currently it's completely gone.

It could also potentially just have been my PS4S tires...

Also wanted to mention that I only got it on right turns on the left wheel, never in any other location, and never when driving straight.

Yeah this is the same thing that’s happening with me too. How long has it been gone for now?
