>72% chance they won't get the cat to pass either
I willing to bet 99.9% chance it wont pass. @PRL Motorsports did all the research and testing and couldnt get it to not throw a CEL, why would all of a sudden some other company get one to work? PRL even said they could have tried another cat but it would have been as restricted the stock one so whats the point? Id be highly skeptical now of a company coming out saying it wont throw a light.

I'll just buy the front pipe for now from PRL until someone figures this out.

you can get a Ktuner and it can bypass the CEL. It wont show ready on an ODBII test, but here in Texas we can have 1 sensor not ready and be ok. But yeah, only the front pipe is an option too

@PRL Motorsports. Updates on the status of our orders?
We shipped out 9 so far and are waiting on another batch of material to come in the next week or so to finish up pre-order shipments. This thread has taken off and has created so many sales after the pre-order that we had to double our batch of materials up this time to accomodate. Thank you for the patience everyone. Once the bends are in everything will be smooth-sailing again!

AFe has always made great products and this looks to be another high-quality piece. We chose not to go 400 CEL because it would be as restrictive or almost as restrictive as the factory cat in the smaller diameter body (the factory cat features a rather large diameter cat body) and still no guarantee that all CELs will be fixed now and in the future. Also, we are not a fan of how the 3" tapers down towards the bottom of the downpipe.

That's awesome guys. Amazes me how that happens, the presale was going so long, Im not sure why so many wait till its over. No disrespect to AFe at all. I mean that more towards the others that might come out with downpipes.

Saw a lot of requests. Skimmed thru most of this thread.

Can anyone confirm gains from just the front pipe? To avoid CEL?

Is it even worth it?

I'm ready to most likely buy a cat back exhaust but saw this thread. Absolutely don't want to deal with a CEL. Ktuner or not just don't want it.

So is the single front pipe work anything on its own?

Thanks

This doesn't answer your question but as far as I know there are no catback options "made for" the hatchback yet. Just in case you did not already know...
