right lol, I'm pressing my luck I'm sure. I'm thinking of going back to the dyno to just see if there's any significant gains since I upgraded to the Cobb intake...to show if there really is any gains at all.
Lol yes def max fuel right now haha. Mike posted in my FB group about his testing. It’s a positive unit for Tuners cause they can fully adjust it etc would be cool to see your results but again the stock fueling will not give great results

Oh, didn't realize he already had the comparison test done. I can't reach facebook form work right now. I had just hit him up about doing a dyno to run a comparison lol, he's the one who tuned mine.

Perfect lol it wasn’t much of a comparison to others but he did review it a bit. The person had the RV660 also

Great post as usual! I was curious about the mhi stage 2 turbskie since it's basically an OEM turbo. The fk8 guys are all over the place on how they feel about it, some said it'll add a few rpm of turbo lag because of the increase in size and others say it's basically identical to stock.

In my experience. U don’t feel it’s extra lag at wide open. But at part throttle you really do. And it’s crazy cuz I think the stage 2 only adds like 200 or 300rpm worth? Which really isn’t a lot at all yet U can feel it get in your way at part throttle.

personally would rather a version of the stock turbo with ported cold side and ever so slightly larger wheel. I’d really like to see the data on something that’s just a very slight hybrid.

Thanks I am trying to clear up some bad information out there and answer the common questions on this platform but its hard to not throw my personal take into the blogs LOL but I really try not to be bias and be real. IMO customers make the best feedback not the company or business selling the parts. Companies will sell you a dream but customers will tell the truth so I tried to base it on that.

MHI is close to stock and I like it because its the closest to the OEM turbo so you know its quality and reliable. I am not worried about the lag on this one. I have not heard 1 issue with them failing yet. I know somebody pushing 620hp on it without issues and its his daily.

What you really need to wait for is the new MDR turbo that is being released early next year now that will outdo the MHI IMO from the testing I have seen. Stock like curve pulls all the way to the top.

For me I am using the RV660AS first to test it out. In my facebook group I did a poll for what turbo they want me to do first. That is if it ever comes off backorder lol Then after that I am using my rampage kit G30-660.

Not a bad idea at all. I have too many projects going on and parts coming out eventually to try this but maybe down the road LOL. Its a good concept and why not try it? I like innovation and trying new things even if it fails we can say we tried.

Thanks for the feedback! Any upgraded turbo IMO wont be exactly like stock spool but can get close. I like the RV660 cause its a up top monster thats my thing lol

That’s fair. Some folks prefer that.

no I’m just checking I’m happy you posted that. I have a few customers putting them in with stock fuel system so this post helps lol nice data for stock fueling. Your def at the ceiling for the stock fuel system I’m sure
Last year Jose from Redstarmotoring was able to push 423whp out of my setup on my CW FK8. I had the following mods

-Stock Fuel system
-Injen Intercooler & Charge pipes
-PRL HV Ti Inlet and intake
-PRL P700 Turbo
-PRL Catted GESI DP.
-HKS RapidFire spark pulgs, gapped to .26
-VR Ti exhaust modded to full true 3”
-High Spark IG coils by “Max Orido”

I went from stock to P700 to MHi. Tuned by Jose from redstar and response between the P700 and MHI is significant. MHI feels like stock with better top end

First pic below is P700. Same track same location on track. Made one 1 change…MHi turbo on 2nd pic. 3rd pic bonus. Same track same location on track on stock turbo minus inlet pipe and front pipe and hood. Everything else the same. 3rd pic was my 2nd time on track with instructor in car with me. So by time I swapped to the P700 and MHi I had more track events under my belt solo. P700 is a good turbo just not for my application.

I have to compliment you on using dashed vs solid lines that are thick enough for the colors to be seen for the dyno comparison on the MHI Stage 2 portion. Way easier to interpret than the 'mauve vs burnt orange hairline crack' typical graphs i see.
