Interesting find @Chilly613
I wish Dream would show the protectors actually on the seats, tho. 🤦‍♂️

Opening up an old thread. Now that I have an FL5, has anyone seen or possibly used these side bolster protectors from Dream Automotive in the UK? These buckets were definitely not made for someone with tree trunks for legs.

That looks pretty good, I might try one out. I used those Bride covers for a little while but stopped using them as I noticed the bolster was doing ok without any protection. I keep the dream automotive full seat cover on Monday-Friday because I get dirty at work sometimes so that probably helps a lot. After 18 months and 15k miles, the seat is holding up well though.

I saw that you bought your car in Visalia, which you called BFE. When I was in the Navy I was stationed in Lemoore and we used to consider Visalia the place to go on Friday nights.

I did order myself a set for the driver side to try, hopefully it'll protect it. I just hope there's no issue getting it delivered since some shippers around the world, including the UK are suspending shipping to the US.

Haha, yeah. When you live in the Los Angeles/Orange County area, it's definitely BFE lol

I myself need this. I fully rub my ass everytime.
But damn that’s pricey

Or just wait until it really starts to look worn, and then get either the l1mtd_r seat covers or the OEM cover. I'm guessing mine won't start looking terrible until 75k-100k.

Been using towels but just order one because this old fart has a hard time lifting myself out of the seat.

Is there anything similar for the side bolster? I tend to rub the side bolster more than the bottom bolster getting in/out of the car. My seat is forward enough that I have to squeeze in/out between the steering wheel and side bolster :(
Same. Even if I slide the seat all the way back I still do it. Short person problem maybe

I saw that member Clark Kent posted an Amazon link to a basic black Terry cloth seat cover, which was around 20$ or so. After reading much of his input here on the forum, I valued his suggestion. I bought one (only for driver side) and have been really satisfied with it.

I look under the cover often to see if it is causing any unnecessary wear to the seat/bolster, and it hasn’t. Being black, it easily shows the little amounts of crap that your clothing tracks into the seat that would be ground into the OEM red alcantara. The terry cloth cover goes on/off in about 1 minute. I’m super satisfied, for little money!

So just an fyi for anyone planning on ordering the bolster protectors if you are in the US. The initial cost of shipping was pretty steep, around $50. I get it international shipping is and can be expensive, but I got hit with a notification on my UPS account that I had to pay additional fees/taxes for my package because of tariffs and the removal of the de minimis exemption.
