We are having great results with @svvitch car currently. It is a very simple setup but quite effective. We are at e20 currently and still running good boost and a nice timing curve.

I think for track duty e30 will be the sweetspot without dialing boost back too much.

Let me know how the turbo is coming on the rpm range you see. Hondata said that the increase of E85 it's coming on sooner.

Optimized tune wise absolutely possible!

Optimized parts wise impossible and there will always be some itch. You will probably have an easier time finding a Unicorn.?
What ich do you speak of?

Can I install my canflex before tuning? I won’t be running a e85 blend until I tune but would like to get it installed so once I get the tune/flash pro I am ready to go.

@Hondata any updates on getting Carb approval for this?
It cannot be CARB approved because CARB does not offer a process to approve such devices. They did achieve some other approval, which was apparently the closest you can get.

I am new to all this as my 2019 Honda civic type r is stock, but I did start going to track this year, and I now have 11 track days!! Woohoo!

I am looking mostly to be a better driver and avoid significant power mods. Current mods are TE37 wheels, Hankook RS4 tires, Castrol SRF brake fluid, Endless ME20/MX87 brake pads, and the WOT cooling undertray.

I am thinking the simplest power modification for my stock car (no bolt-ons) will be Hondata FlashPro and CANFlex. Then I can use pump gas and then find some E85 near me and bring 15 gallons with me to the track.

In addition, ethanol should run somewhat cooler than stock. I have not had overheating problems as I am in the northeast, and I only ran one hot track weekend -- Watkins Glen, and I drove 7/10 to avoid hitting a wall. However, as I start to push, I think ethanol may help to prevent the known overheating problems of the FK8 platform?
