I’ll take you at your word! I know interpretation is largely ambiguous…I don’t always come across the way I would like when I’m trying to help folks close to me.

Someone’s gotta teach me how to not wreck my daily my first day on track 🤣
@yeaitsahonda is a amazing instructor and all around great guy who I am 99% is coming as an instructor. He is wildly fast and on on stock FL5 (besides brakes and tires).

And he's really good at changing brake pads.
For everyone else, this is a running joke (but true) because I like Carbotech pads, which are great, but a front set of XP20s won't last more than 3-4 track days because I am a late and heavy braker. I also prefer to change my track pads at the track and when I leave the track so when we do track days, Im always changing pads. That being said, I can do all 4 corners in about 20 minutes.

For reference... I got whole set of CCRG in Sep, I went to 4 track days. But actually 4 - half track days, you can actually consider it 2 full days... It was 3 SCCA track night, where we got 3 sessions of 20 min in the afternoon, and 1 PDG track day.

And then after lunch at the PDG track day, I realized my front pad are gone... like maybe 1 or 2 mm left...

but 4 corner in 20 min, that is very impressive :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

I just want to chime in as the lead expert in aerodynamics (I am just kidding of course). It has been mentioned before and its what I have, the oem carbon wing. I do like that has been tested and specially that it has been tested on a car without a proper front splitter.

Most companies do either not test or don't publish their tests which honestly sucks but also companies like APR that have a gigantic wing but don't have anything up front to balance it, their front lip is mostly cosmetic. I guess it would be a trial and error thing. I know spoon had to make their wing smaller because it was affecting balance of the car, their front lip also looks mostly cosmetic.

Unless someone comes out with a proper package for our cars like verus has done for other cars or 9 lives racing, ect.... we will only be able to find out through trial and error. Point by Patrol seems happy with his setup so we know that works, I know Antonio (forget his name here) also is happy with his setup and he has the TC wing by Jas and the same front lip as Pointby but his is under the mugen lip.

Anyways hope to see you in May!

The XP20's are like $250 for a front set so while they don't last as long, they aren't stupidly priced. I looked at a Ferodo's but the price was absurd.

Thread jacking to say hi to VA and NC locals! I’m signed up for May and doing relentless research into track days and VIR specifically—I’ll be joining in the green group as my first time. Would love to connect with instructors beforehand and get a better understanding of how everything flows.

I’ve watched quite a few of @PointByPatrol ’s videos and have been keeping a list in Notion for must haves and nice to haves—kudos to you for doing the groundwork.

Anyways, hi!! Looking forward to learning and making new friends.

Thanks, will make my own post soon. So many questions but trying to resolve most before I shotgun the forum. I’m stoked to know there are local folks who are actually friends!
