Interesting. I was thinking the tariffs would have sealed the deal for MY26 in addition to the Japanese regulations coming into play next year. I guess it makes sense they can build a very short run of them for MY26 and finish it up before the coming spring. I'd assume available units would be for the US/JAPAN primarily. When there is a model year change, production is scaled down for some time. There will be a 2026MY FL5 but they are planning to bulid less of them. Honda reconizes that majority of the people that want FL5s already have them or are preparing to buy relatively soon. Demand is still relatively high but it will soon reach a point where the production costs no longer justify it's existence. Despite its MSRP the FL5 is effectively a loss leader for Honda, the tariffs also haven't helped in justifying its continued existence.
Units are mainly for the US and some smaller markets that haven't gotten all that they were alotted yet, Japan only gets enough to complete whatever was ordered before the cut off period.Interesting. I got mine last month for $1,250 under MSRP in PA, and it was new.
Buying used doesn't make sense because you'll pay around MSRP (slightly below or above) for a used car. Several folks here have mentioned they paid a slight markup in state or went out of state to pay MSRP or below.Sup guys. I live in Northern California. I am also in the market for it. Since price are all over the place. Would buying a nice used one from Carmax makes sense?
Be a little more patient and go for new, the money and time you might save isn't worth it. A little extra effort will ensure you're the first to fart in the seatSup guys.
