I bought mine at NR HB over a year ago and only payed 500 over and had my choice of CW or mine SGP . Great dealership my salesman was awesome and also the sales manager. Also received a year of free parking at the beach , 2 Type r CF carbon Fiber money clips and Type r hat “that I only wear when I’m not driving my Type r “ 😆
Great experience for me and still loving my FL5 what an awesome car !
Oh there was a addendum sticker next to the factory that said see manager for price :)
Normally Norm Reeves HB is pretty good, I've worked with them and have been buying cars with them since 2009. I should totally tell them to throw in a bunch of merch to sway my purchase 😆

Hahahaha most definitely 💯
It was pretty cool lol when I was in finance the sales manager kept coming in and giving me all those extra perks. Again great experience!
a few weeks later the salesman told me they got a black one in and sold it for 5000 over. He said I got the deal I did because I was a nice guy :) and the other guy was a jerk 🤣

Communication could've been better from the dealership. Also having to deal with the transport company, smog check (had to make two trips because sensors weren't in 'Ready' status), and the DMV visit which took about 2 hours. Saved a bunch of money doing this, but it came with some hassle.

I'm really enjoying the car now, so I guess it was worth the effort. :)
Never thought of the smog check thing, but makes sense if it's fresh off the truck and hasn't gone through drive cycles.

Sounds about how I would feel about it. Well, you're here now, enjoy it and have fun!

Commiefailnya. Travel and save thousands. Be sure to drive your new FL5 by that you bought out of state to rub their noses in it.

Norm Reeves Cerritos is where I bought my last car, they have a boost blue in stock, waiting to hear back from the sales guy that I worked with last time.

Where'd you go out of state for yours?
Give Pasadena Honda a try. They wanted $3k over for a boost blue when I was in the market 2 month ago. I offered them $1k and they said "no". This is when they only got 1 in stock. I bet if you offer them that now or even MSRP, they'll probably say "yes" since it looks like they got 2 boost blue now. It showed that they had 3 boost blue in stock at one point last month!

Don't walk, but run from Norm Reeves in HB. If you don't want to travel too far, you may want to consider Norm Reeves in Cerritos. When I contacted HB earlier in the year, they had a CW on their showroom floor, asking for 10k over. Cerritos was asking for 2k over but it comes with accessories.

I ended up purchasing out-of-state for MSRP.
I think some dealers get tired of tire kickers calling for them. So they just hit you high and can’t say that I blame them. If your serious and local you need to go down and crunch numbers and show your serious and lay your credentials and money on the table ;) That’s what I did and it worked out well for me at NR Of HB . Again great dealer and highly recommend 👍🏻

East coast here. I just secured a brand new 2025 Rallye Red at sticker $47,045 + dealer fee $699 + accessories $750 (wheel locks, trunk tray, all weather mats). You could argue I overpaid for the accessories but the dealer fee was $200-$300 less than many dealers I got quotes from and the difference at that point is worth it because I would have bought the accessories direct from Honda had they not been required in my pricing negotiations.

Extra kicker in my deal is I get to take delivery right off the truck from port, covered in shipping plastic, in about 10 days from now once it arrives at the dealer. I have always wanted to take the car right off the truck, unmolested by dealer washes and handling and covered in shipping plastic all the way from Japan.

I reached out to many east coast dealers for new and used red 2023+ CTRs over the last 3 weeks. It’s pretty easy to find them at MSRP + 1-2k mark up + dealer fee. This dealer in South Carolina was happy to make a deal right off the bat. This will be my third CTR, can’t wait to daily one again.

The salesperson I spoke with on the phone said they were going to speak with their GM. My offer was MSRP for the CW CTR in-transit. I also let them know I can put down a $3,000 deposit immediately, if we can agree on price. I know they mentioned they have flexibility on the BB, but the CW is a sought after color, and has more value.

Not more than an hour after my call, the salesperson said the GM won't do MSRP and they are sticking with their ADM, with some room for negotiation. I spent hours contacting dealerships all over SoCal, with no luck.

But I'm glad you had a great experience!

Reached out to my local Honda dealer, Norm Reeves Honda Huntington Beach for an out the door price on an FL5. Not sure where they came up with a $5K down payment, but they want $72K for an FL5.

$1130 ceramic coating/surface protection, $2557 for an alarm system "Lo-Jack" and $4287 Service Contract is an extended warranty for 7 years/100K miles and then a $10k market adjustment.

Anyone else have any absurd numbers for the current market?

Dealership by me has a blue one for only a 5k markup. That's what I paid for my 24 white one when I bought it there. They usually go quick by me so I just didn't care. I had to haggle with them to get them down to that as well but it was worth it looking back and reading about all the issues with people getting them now at decent price.

I also refused all the packages and they let me do it. I know them and have been going there for years now.

I paid 52k taxes title etc. total for mine.

Yeah when I went down there they had both CW and SGP for the same price. CW was what I wanted originally but when I saw them both on the showroom under the lights I changed my mind. Yes Thank you it was a great experience for me . Unfortunately that same day earlier it wasn’t that good at Honda World for me . Had an appointment to look at and or buy a boost blue FL5 . Called just before I left my house to confirm they still had and he said yup . Got down there the salesman was no where to be found and they tried switching me to a used Boost Blue FK8 with low mileage and I said thank you but no thank you and left. That same day on the way home I called Norm reeves of HB and they had two and the rest his history . Funny is Honda World called me a week later saying they had two CW on there showroom lol . I did a drive by in my SGP and sure enough they had two CW on the showroom and listed online for a few months pretty crazy for The “Heritage” color wasn’t selling lol.

You know sometimes it’s not about the price but what makes you happy . Glad you’re happy and it worked out for you . One thing for sure these FL5’s are special cars absolutely love mine. Almost a year and a half and I feel like I’m still on the honeymoon.

Haha. I also contacted Honda World too, and they wouldn't budge on price. All of this took place early 2025. Maybe it was just super bad timing or really bad luck with who I worked with. I really wanted to buy local too.

Honda World is the worse, if there is one dealer I will never do business with its them.

We just purchased an EXL Pilot HPD from the same place. The people there are super nice, and they know I just want the car and I know they need to make something being a salesman. You start getting into all the packages forced on you and over 5k markup, that's BS IMO at that point.

I love this car. I bought the forged rims and installed them with the summer tires and then have the stock rims for winters with a good set of all weathers on them. Keep one from either set in the trunk as a spare. Daily it every where.

I just picked up a boost blue fl5 at mossy honda lemon grove in san diego, CA end of july at msrp + about 1100$ paint protection. He said they need to hit sales goals by the end of the month. Original sticker had a ridiculous 20k$ mark up though. They're out there if youre patient, I was searching for a while.
This is the way. End of the month is when they are looking to make deals so they can hit sales targets.
