We just purchased an EXL Pilot HPD from the same place. The people there are super nice, and they know I just want the car and I know they need to make something being a salesman. You start getting into all the packages forced on you and over 5k markup, that's BS IMO at that point.

I love this car. I bought the forged rims and installed them with the summer tires and then have the stock rims for winters with a good set of all weathers on them. Keep one from either set in the trunk as a spare. Daily it every where.
Congratulations those are so nice man !
My other car I’m still rocking That was purchased new at NR HB is a 2006 CRV with a whopping 15,000 miles now lol. Great car and the AC still blows ice cold never touched. Its my don’t worry park were and go were I want car.

Haha. I also contacted Honda World too, and they wouldn't budge on price. All of this took place early 2025. Maybe it was just super bad timing or really bad luck with who I worked with. I really wanted to buy local too.
That’s funny and They probably Didn’t even have the car like they did to me 🤣

I had a CRV " two actually " for a while, good cars. The pilot is big, it just floats I love it. We have a lot of kids so it helps when we need to all go some where at this point.

Honda World is the worse, if there is one dealer I will never do business with its them.
I 2nd that hands down. I even offered to order one from them and put money down on the next one to arrive which they said they had no idea when that would be. I said so you don’t know what was allocated to you and they said nope lol. I said ok how about if I order one and they said we don’t take orders on FL5’s. Regardless I should have left after they tried switching me to a FK8. I told NR HB what they did to me and think they felt bad and partly why they gave me a great deal.

Oh for sure those Pilots are different animals also that’s the perfect family car and even if you leave them behind temporarily 😆

East coast here. I just secured a brand new 2025 Rallye Red at sticker $47,045 + dealer fee $699 + accessories $750 (wheel locks, trunk tray, all weather mats). You could argue I overpaid for the accessories but the dealer fee was $200-$300 less than many dealers I got quotes from and the difference at that point is worth it because I would have bought the accessories direct from Honda had they not been required in my pricing negotiations.

Extra kicker in my deal is I get to take delivery right off the truck from port, covered in shipping plastic, in about 10 days from now once it arrives at the dealer. I have always wanted to take the car right off the truck, unmolested by dealer washes and handling and covered in shipping plastic all the way from Japan.

I reached out to many east coast dealers for new and used red 2023+ CTRs over the last 3 weeks. It’s pretty easy to find them at MSRP + 1-2k mark up + dealer fee. This dealer in South Carolina was happy to make a deal right off the bat. This will be my third CTR, can’t wait to daily one again.
Do you still have the Emira?

Yes! The new FL5 will be my daily replacing my 2011 Si (I’ll be selling the Si privately). The Emira I take out whenever I can when the weather permits. I put 4k miles on it in my first year of ownership, it’s truly a masterpiece of automotive decadence.

Waiting on my CW to arrive from port now, MSRP plus $299 VIN etching that I told them to charge me for but dont actually install it. Will be shipping from the Chicago area to Texas. All the TX stores are $5k+ on top and I'd honestly rather pay transport than markup. Dealer is going to PDI but leave all the transport coverings in place. It does help that I'm in the auto industry and have quite a few Honda clients, basically just found which had a CW incoming and first to make the deal at MSRP was the one. I did have them order me a cargo mat as well but I was going to grab that either way.

I recently bought one in So Cal and have a lot of insight into the market right now. If you want boost blue you can get one for MSRP or close to it, try downtown LA Honda and negotiate aggressively. A lot of these places start with high quotes. For championship white in this area the best you’re likely to get is 3-4K over. People are buying them for that all day. I would suggest offering an OTD price of 52-53
(that’s straight msrp) for a blue one, and if you want to actually buy the car, 56-57 for a white one. For other colors something in between. You’ll need to try multiple dealers.
Reached out to my local Honda dealer, Norm Reeves Honda Huntington Beach for an out the door price on an FL5. Not sure where they came up with a $5K down payment, but they want $72K for an FL5.

$1130 ceramic coating/surface protection, $2557 for an alarm system "Lo-Jack" and $4287 Service Contract is an extended warranty for 7 years/100K miles and then a $10k market adjustment.

Anyone else have any absurd numbers for the current market?

In WV, there are very few FL5 type R for sale..I paid MSRP for mine, a 2024 model..out the door actually was $47000..I got a Military discount from dealer.

Yikes.
They're available around me (New England) for $500 on either side of MSRP ($47,000-$48,000).
In my state (NH) there's no sales tax, so that's the OTD price here.
buying one out of states with no tax, problem is when you do register it here in California you'll have to pay taxes on that purchase price because DMV will ask for the purchase agreement.

Very true it happened to me on a new truck I only had about 8 months. Had to pay over 4000 in tax in Cali to Register it.
