Convert PRL High volume intake to short ram?

I’m wondering if it’s possible to switch the 11th-generation PRL HVI to a SRI? I’m hoping to get more sound out of it, but the PRL HVI doesn’t seem to have much sound, and it’s not quite what I was looking for.

You could probably just remove the HVI box, but then you'd have nothing to support the filter and intake hose. Have you tried removing and plugging the resonator that's on the charge pipe? Should increase intake and turbo noises. PRL sells a kit for it, but I'm sure if you find a cap of the same size you can plug it and clamp it off without the kit.

Or ask PRL if you can just buy the metal mount piece as that looks like all that is different between this and the HVI box.

If you want more sound get the duct for the HVI to open it up more, also deleting the silencer on the intercooler piping will help.
