Thinking about getting these intake. I’m in the middle of a e tune with rv6 r660as and curious how this will sound and perform.

Good stuff! Let us know what you think once you get it all installed and the OTS map loaded. I wrestled with picking up the Cobb intake and went back and forth for some time, but I decided against it. I'll keep the SPOON drop-in filter and call it.I ordered the Cobb intake and AP with a custom tune from JST, but I'm most likely going to run the Cobb OTS map for a bit before jumping into the custom tuning. The only reason why I even went with this intake is because its CARB legal or else I was fine with just running the stock airbox with the Spoon filter. I should be receiving the parts on Friday.
Once you run the custom tune, you'll question why you ran the OTS tune at all haha.I ordered the Cobb intake and AP with a custom tune from JST, but I'm most likely going to run the Cobb OTS map for a bit before jumping into the custom tuning. Fine, well jump on the custom tune right awayOnce you run the custom tune, you'll question why you ran the OTS tune at all haha.
looks amazing!! It’s what I’m switching toI installed the intake today. Very straight forward and simple. I didn't even read the instructions. I shipped the ECU out today. Hopefully I will have it back by Wednesday latest since it's set for overnight air.

My tuner at 1to1tuning.co (Mike Sweeney) had already tuned my car before I got the Cobb intake. But he had already tuned other Type R's with cobb intake, so it as easy to update my tune after I got the Cobb intake. I had 424whp before. I don't know how much I gained, but I swear to you, out of any intake I've tried, this intake gave me a feel of top end gain in power. I felt like the rpms climbed even easier than before.@B16B any update on the tune? Any additional impressions after more seat time with the intake?
I will report back soon once everything is dialed in.@B16B any update on the tune? Any additional impressions after more seat time with the intake?
Well I was driving with my kid in the car and heard a popping sound in my engine bay and suddenly lost all power and the car started to stall out. Luckily I was half a mile away from home. The MAF housing came apart, bolts, and bracket got lost some where in the engine bay. It's very disappointing because it left some deep scuffs and scratches on the side of the intake during the process. Anyone that wants to run this intake or has this intake, please check the MAF bolts or put a drop of loctite. I contacted Cobb support and supposedly they were going to send me a new intake as I requested for one, then they said there is nothing wrong with the intake, then went ghost on me when I sent a follow up email. I was going to send them back this current intake because I didn't pay $1000 to have a nice carbon fiber intake scuffed up or scratched up due to an error on their end because my OCD wouldn’t accept it. I was custom tuning with JST and getting ready to log V3 over the weekend, but that went to scrap. I put the stock intake back on and went back to the stock tune. Totally turned off by Cobb. Total waste of money. I hope everyone else has better experience with them and this is my honest opinion and review.@B16B any update on the tune?
