CIVR 2025 Type R CW build thread

So it starts! Been out the car scene for a while and fell in love with the new Type T aesthetic. Was in the market for a new car and pulled the trigger on a 2025 CW Type R.

This is how I picked up the car, already had the forged Type R wheels, alcantara steering wheel, full front PPF and red accent lighting.

Here’s whats been done or what I have purchased in order. In the 2 months since I’ve had the Type R

Infinity Designs Carbon inlet pipe
AWE touring exhaust
WOT HPT cooling plate


Exterior:
Mugen vented window visors
Forged Type R OE Honda wheels
ZL1 rock guards front and back
ZL1 lift pads
Exceed double carbon front lip Chronicles collab
Mugen Side mirrors
Bonoss 20mm spacers

Interior:
Mugen sill and door panel scuff guards
Weather tech all weather floor mats
Honda OEM auto dimming rear view mirror retrofit
Honda OEM rear seat back protectors
Honda OEM rear trunk mat
Honda OEM rear trunk net
Acuity shifter assembly
Overland Designs alcantara wrapped center console, side panels, and side panel bridge
Overland Designs red alcantara shift boot
Acuity shift knob collar

Engine Bay:

still lots on the list. Planning for 400 HP full bolt on with custom tune. Likely shooting for 500+ HP with turbo and fuel upgrade later down the road. I absolutely love this car it will probably be the last one I own. I daily it everyday and don’t give a hell about the miles I put on it. If I get another ride it will probably be a EK hatch beater.

Congrats, CW FTW! Curious, since your FL5 came with the forged wheels, did the dealer give you the stock wheels as well? How's the auto dimming mirror since your car is tinted?

Thank you! Ha! I asked for the original wheels and they said it wasn’t an option unfortunately. It would have been nice to have with some all seasons on them for winter time. I actually have not had the car out at night since installed the auto dimming rear view mirrors. My Honda Pilot has them stock and I have 5% on the rear window and it works fine, so I assume it would function the same.

You are owed those wheels unless you signed away the rights to them. You paid for them when you purchased the car. Same goes for the Alcantara steering wheel assuming it came on the vehicle when you purchased. I would go collect my parts.

I didn’t sign anything away. Honestly I am not sure if they ordered the car like that or how it was allocated. The dealership is 4 hours away and I’m not driving back there. Yes it sucks but isn’t a hill I am dying on.

Finally got around to installing the Mugen side mirrors and window visors. I have to say the fit and finish to Mugen products is excellent.

Now on the list to install is the Bonoss 20mm spacers, AWE Touring exhaust and WOT HPT cooling plate.

I have the Gruppe M carbon intake in hand however waiting for the Infinity Designs Carbon turbo inlet pipe to come in before I install it. Also have the Acuity shifter assembly along with the shifter bushings. Waiting for Overland designs to send back my center console and side panels before I do this install.

What is really excited for is my double carbon Exceed front lip to come. Ordered the Chroncls collab version. That’s probably 5-8 weeks out still.

Not looking forward to installing the AWE exhaust on jack stands though -_-.

Was wondering why it came like that from the dealership? Was it how someone spec'd their car but then ultimately decided to pull out?

These vehicles cannot be special ordered. Any accessories or OEM accessories were installed at the dealership.

So the dealership decided that they wanted to sell the car with these accessories? Because here in Aus they all come bone stock and we order add ons to the car.

Plus we dont get those wheels as options lol

Correct. It's a tactic to increase top line revenue.

Installed the Acuity shifter assembly and Overland Designs alcantara wrapped center console pieces. Waiting on a different shift knob and steering wheel to come in.

Got around to installing the Infinity Designs turbo inlet and WOT hood struts.
