Thanks for the responses everyone, I ham planning on doing most of the pre-planned recommendations. I already have 5W-30 Amsoil in it, but the oil life is low. So I plan on doing the pads (Paragon P3s), oil, and fluid flush again (I didnt use the E-brake last time), all before I go.

I still would like to figure out what wheels and tires to get so that I can just bookmark them and just get them whenever I need them. I had the wheel and tire saved but when I started to look at the tire sized I realized that I had the wrong size lol.

If you want inexpensive track wheels I recommend apex. $1300 for a set and they have been great on the past few cars I had.
I agree with everyone, do brake fluid. Id do srf cuz will last a year and if you buy it from fcp euro you just return it forever and basically will never have to pay for it again.

But yah send it and have fun, apart from fluid (and imo good to have pads, the p3s will be just fine) you can go out there and have a ton of fun

I agree with what others have stated regarding just trying it out stock or near stock. I would suggest brake pads as well if you have track experience as you'll probably melt the factory pads off (and definitely fluid as well), but otherwise you should be fine. You can pull the alignment pins up front for more camber which is a free mod that improves tire wear and front grip, just need to re-set the toe with toe plates after you do it.

Regarding wheels, when you get to that point, websites like this are great for comparing options. I have this one plugged in with what I run vs. the stock wheels, but generally you are safe if you don't go inboard of the factory wheel, as there can be clearance issues with the strut ears especially with 18s at full lock otherwise. Outboard is just dependent on camber, tire size, etc, but my setup has slight poke (but no rub) on stock suspension and also with lowering springs/camber plates:

You will run into high IATs and high oil temps if ambient is above 60-70°F with the stock cooling system once you start pushing it. The oil temp is an algorithm not a sensor but it's probably reasonably close with the stock stuff.

I would recommend getting rid of the factory oil and going with 5w30 or higher - 0w20 is a compliance oil and it will have poor performance at elevated temps.

Yes, I think that wheel setup would work (although I think most people do ET45 on a 9.5), but if you are buying new wheels I would generally suggest going wider because it's a performance benefit typically for not much additional cost.

You could also take a look at these two threads for some options (to be fair most people do keep with the narrow wheels, although I run 18x11) - Apex flow formed wheels especially are a good performance/$ option vs the TE37s everyone seems to run:

Regarding the oil temp sensor I know people have done that but not sure if there's a kit. I have the HEL oil cooler so I just monitor coolant temp and run good oil, and call it good.

I think there’s a HEL oil cooler in the for sale section.

You’re doing too much homework. Just do the minimum like everyone suggested first. Go to the track. Then decide whether you want to do it again.

For HPDE I will be running the following:
EBC RPX in front
EBC NDX in back or 2020 FK8 rear pads. They are 1/3 the price of the Blues and OE FL5 pads
Castrol SRF
OE PS4S

I am on RS4s now but will be trying V730s next (or might treat myself and get RE71RS).
The only thing I don't like about the V730s is that people say they are terrible in the rain, dangerous even. I usually drive whatever tires to the event and then back home and don't want to get caught int he rain or have to do a rain track day with them. I mean I could plan of course but its nice to not have to think about it.

I have to say the RS4 are a great novice tire, they last FOREVER so you don't really have to care about camber, they are not super fast so nice way to get a feel for 200tw.
But its hard to spend more for tires that are slower than the V730s

I can't comment cuz I never driven them but I have read thread after thread about how bad they are and how they just let go when you hit some standing water

You aren't the first person to say that about the V730s. I live in Florida and does rain alot here. I also did hear that the RS4s last an extremely long time, probably a better choice
