I am trying EBC RPX fronts whenever these wear out just to try something different, but TBD if they are better.
I had tried EBC RP1 on the rear of my VW, they are cheap and worked great, but they do wear out quicker than other pads.

The TCX Integra even with their BBK uses a staggered brake pad setup on the default setup, RST3/RST4

Does the TCX have bigger brakes in the rear or it's stock?
Yeah this is what I didn't quite get.
If the front brakes are naturally much larger and we already have these tiny rear brakes - and the stock car has the same compound front and rear - won't it naturally balance out?
Or does the front get exponentially stronger with the R5 compound that you need to put a R3 on the rear. I would think that the caliper size and rotor size already has this factored in?

I think I'm going to give the SR11's a try after I wear out the DS312's that I currently have with my AP setup.

interested to know what you think.

I like them but I think the 1.11 ferodos are still better. I really want to try ME20 or ME22 and might try those after the SR11s

What’s your lap time on that track ?

curious do you also have your latest blackstone oil sample ?
My lap time was a 2:10.28. I just received my kits, so I haven't changed the oil yet.

Hey, Im planning on having my first track day this month and trying to figure out what wheels and tires I need. Im new and still learning about wheels, like the offset and diameters. I found a specific wheel I like (for the looks) but not sure what offset I should be looking for.

I was recommended 18" wheels so I'll stick with that. But is there any downside to running 18x10? And what offset should I be looking for? I know stock is +60 so should I look for a wheel in that? Just kind of confused on the wheel specs I should be looking for

I would personally run the car stock, get a baseline, and enjoy it.

The only critical mod is to replace the brake fluid with Castrol SRF.

Optional is remove the front negative camber pins. Done

then once you've toasted the stock brake pads - upgrade them - Done

Your stock wheels and tires are more fine -- you don't need to spend a lot of money for your first track day, or end up down a rabbit hole thinking about wheel offsets. I even ran the OE Forged Wheel for an entire season (although with a different tire)

Swap your brake fluid to Castrol SRF, Endless, or Halo and send it. Once you know your hooked, then you can start exploring some other things, like Brake Pads/Camber Joints, and then cooling mods like Radiator, Intercooler, Oil Cooler, etc., particularly given your location.

Agree with this unless you just want new wheels. But that's a different conversation. My first 2 weekends with the R I ran stock setup with just an alignment to try to get a bit more camber. Tires held up fine considering as a novice it's difficult to really push them aside from simply overdriving the tires. Instructor should help with that.

I agree with what others have stated regarding just trying it out stock or near stock. I would suggest brake pads as well if you have track experience as you'll probably melt the factory pads off (and definitely fluid as well), but otherwise you should be fine. You can pull the alignment pins up front for more camber which is a free mod that improves tire wear and front grip, just need to re-set the toe with toe plates after you do it.

Regarding wheels, when you get to that point, websites like this are great for comparing options. I have this one plugged in with what I run vs. the stock wheels, but generally you are safe if you don't go inboard of the factory wheel, as there can be clearance issues with the strut ears especially with 18s at full lock otherwise. Outboard is just dependent on camber, tire size, etc, but my setup has slight poke (but no rub) on stock suspension and also with lowering springs/camber plates:

You will run into high IATs and high oil temps if ambient is above 60-70°F with the stock cooling system once you start pushing it. The oil temp is an algorithm not a sensor but it's probably reasonably close with the stock stuff.

I would recommend getting rid of the factory oil and going with 5w30 or higher - 0w20 is a compliance oil and it will have poor performance at elevated temps.
