Morning, folks!

I decided I was done with the garbage charge pad but also didn't want to fork over a ton for the Canadian version and some of the other options I've seen around, so I decided to learn just enough about 3d print design to make my own and am sharing the model here for others if you're interested.

It's not professional, there could certainly be some improvements, and I may make a v2, but for now I wanted to share with the community in case anyone else is interested.

Suggestion for a v2, make a cutout for the car’s charge pad button so you can see that it’s turned off.

What's wrong with the stock pad, is it too slow or something?

I did this too a few years back, I also recommend having the MagSafe puck raised out so there is space for the camera bump on the various different iPhone models. It also makes it easier to pick the phone up. Along with the previous recommendation for the power button cutout

I mean, it works and my phone doesn't slide around. But I'm old and charge my phone once a day haha.

Oh yeah it does get hot, didn't realize that could be cured with a different charger puck.
yea a MagSafe charger works better, something about the magnets aligning the inductors better with the phone battery, causing less resistance.

I found out, before getting one, on a 10-hr road trip.

Completely useless, not sure how they can even sell that as a feature
Yep, same here. Also, it may be hard to see in the pics but I settled on the puck being raised 1mm and added a 1mm negative at the back to account for the camera.

Unfortunately no. Omitted from that picture is the C-to-A converter.
