+1 That’s what I did, that 12V paired with a high V capacity adapter gives more than enough power to allow the MagSafe reach its full power delivery. Also, finally having OEM magnetics that are strong enough to keep the phone from flying while taking turns.

Honestly, I don't understand why a mild-hybrid that does torque fill (aka eliminate turbo-lag) would be a bad thing. You get that NA response and yet not going fully hybrid / electrification.
