Depends on the color and finish of the car and how bad the damage is. I think you can expect ~$1000 and up. It’s a significant amount of work to go over every inch of the car : wash, clay bar, correction & polish. It is best to do it ASAP before any other significant damage occurs, like dents and chips. More damage = More cost.

What does a typical paint correction cost?
The cost of paint correction depends on several factors, including but not limited to: paint condition, vehicle size, your expectations, level/stage of correction (i.e., Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3 - which is driven by vehicle condition and/or your expectations), and the quality of products and equipment used. Expect pricing to start ~$500 and go up to $2,500+. You typically won't know the cost until the detailer sees your car in person and discuss your goals and expectations.

A person who works for Honda shared it on FB. And it looks like his number is legit.
The highest number reported on the internet is 8549 a month ago, and he posted this set of data today.

Paint correction is a must on any new car purchase. I instruct all of my SAs to make a note to leave ALL of the taping/packaging that is on the body of the paint. I leave that to my detailer to remove and prep my cars for delivery. I don't let the dealer do PDIs on my cars.

Is paint correction necessary if you daily the car? Or is it something you do before PPF?

You do it before ppf, though ppf can hide light swirl marks. You definitely would want to do it before ceramic coat.

It's like $31k or something over there.
Their yearly taxes and inspections are very expensive (as well as insurance), especially for city dwellers. I don’t know much beyond that. In all, their total cost of ownership is probably pretty similar to those of in the US all said…though I wonder what their ADMs are?

You don't have to do anything. The widely held belief, or the supposition on forums re paint correction, ceramic coating and/or PPF is it's something that must be done. There's also an element of social influence around these items. I don't subscribe to either. You can simply buy a car, drive it, and be happy. You don't have to run down the rabbit hole that is automotive detailing because it's an endless tunnel that can get very expensive in short order. Like everything else, do only what a) you're comfortable doing; b) what works for your situation.

There is NO ADM from Japanese Honda dealer.
