2026 FL5 Speculation Thread

There’s actually more proof suggesting that there won’t be a 2026 than that there will be, lol. Where are the 2026 spy shots? Any test mules? Any parts or sales guidance?

Going by Hondas history, all of the above should have been seen/known/disseminated some time ago. Heck, the 2025 was released in August of last year, so they have 3 months to pull all that together? Things can change obviously but I’d say I’m 95% certain that there WILL NOT be a 2026 given what we know (or don’t know) today.

No need for test mules if they carry it over unchanged which is what they almost certainly will do assuming it continues.

Where’s this so-called proof? Previous Type R model years like 2023 and 2024 rolled over with zero spy shots or test mules. Nothing.

You’re just assuming MY26 has to be different, so you think the lack of mules somehow confirms it doesn’t exist. That’s not proof – that’s just wishful thinking dressed up as logic.

When you say local Honda rep, do you mean like someone from Honda online/email? Every dealer I've asked has said so many different answers (probably dependent on if they want to make a sale or not). Also I hope motor trend knows something we don't, I think it'd be great for more people to get a type R

If this is true, I wonder if we’ll see a facelift and eventual LE? Until we know more (probably June/July this year) all bets are off if you ask me.

I doubt Motortrend would post this article blindly. I would think they would have some sort of information we don’t.

It looks like an article they use to rank for the SEO for a new model year. They probably do it for every car and truck that is searched heavily to get ahead of the release of info.

I think the previous rumors and the fact that the Type R appears to be done in Canada speaks to Honda's plans in North America at least. Especially given the state of automotive tariffs today.

I’m not questioning your credibility, but Honda Corp US is like one step removed from the mothership in Japan. I just have a hard time believing that this one singular US representative has the inside scoop with someone at Honda Corp US who has the inside scoop with Honda Corp Japan. Yes, I’m quite a healthy skeptic when it comes to any kind of hearsay.

I doubt there will be a 2026 considering I can search for 2026 Civic in every model except the Type R in Honda's inventory system.

they also list a 2025 Giulia Quad, which was discontinued in 2024, lol. This is meaningless unfortunately.

Right, dealerships know less than we do. I talked to the GM of the largest dealer on the east coast and he swore that there wouldn’t be a 2026 model. Talked to another GM at a dealer 5 miles away and he said there absolutely would be.

Yesterday I was at the honda dealer and this service advisor came to me. He started asking me question regarding My FL5, during the conversation, He told me one of the main owners of the dealer was receiving a Yellow FL5. If is true, would be nice for who likes yellow. I seen the fl5 wrap on yellow and looks good. Not a fan personally.
