piedmont honda in SC was close to msrp on their cw that's inbound. ask for Robert kinney, tell him zack from charlotte referred youIf anyone has any leads on a CW or CBP at or below MSRP. Let me know. I have a pre-approval and vehicle trade ready to make a deal and sign. Appreciate the help
mind pm his contact info?I'm buying from East Cincinnati Honda and I'm only paying MSRP + TTL. No addons/extras required. They even went out of their way to find a red one for me (assuming they did a trade?) and it's arriving 3/1-3/7 currently. Gary was great to work with and said they have only ever been selling the CTR at MSRP. I haven't completed my transaction with them fully as I haven't picked up the car yet but they have been very good with communications and the overall sale so far.
I’m also working with a dealer in OH. Are you having the vehicle shipped?I'm buying from East Cincinnati Honda and I'm only paying MSRP + TTL. No addons/extras required. I’ve been n communication with a rep from a dealer in OH who’s been really helpful and so far at MSRP. My issue is I’m out of state and upside down on my Tesla ??I’m also working with a dealer in OH. Are you having the vehicle shipped?
You're not supposed to pay sales tax if you're buying a car out of state. You will eventually pay it where you live. Just purchased my car in Ohio Jan 2, paid sales tax in TX when I registered my car here. If they're collecting tax from you, there's something wrong.I’ve been n communication with a rep from a dealer in OH who’s been really helpful and so far at MSRP. They’re going to get back to me tomorrow on if the OTD I sent included transfer taxes and registration for Florida.
My intention would be ship my trade in and pick up the CTR to drive it back
yeah I’m aware of that, I have seen however some dealers use a third party servicer that is designed for out of state sales. Vitu is what the provider is called. It’s just to streamline the whole tax and registration process. I did overlook one of the quotes I got and confirmed the tax being collected from and out of state deal was indeed my current state’s sales tax. You're not supposed to pay sales tax if you're buying a car out of state. That's not true. Dealerships across the country can, and in most cases will, collect taxes for where you register the car. There's nothing wrong with that. I bought two new cars in 2023, both out of state and taxes were collected. You're not supposed to pay sales tax if you're buying a car out of state. You will eventually pay it where you live. I'd rather pay it myself where I live. I don't want to rely on some clerk doing their job correctly and having to deal with the consequences. In my case, I was able to hang on to my sales tax $ for a little more than a month before having to pay when my temp tags were about to expire. That's not true. If that's how you choose to conduct your affairs, that's fine. The statement, "You're not supposed to pay sales tax if you're buying a car out of state." is simply not accurate.I'd rather pay it myself where I live. yea good luck with that. i run dealerships in the NE and can tell you that it never works out well when theres this many pieces to the puzzle. have you searched the motoring obsession tracker to try to find one closer to you so you can drive your trade in?My intention would be ship my trade in and pick up the CTR to drive it back
