Are you worried about getting popped for the mods if you get pulled over? Or are you finding out a lot of companies selling parts online won't ship to CA because its not CARB? Just find a site that will. Its not like you're gonna need a smog check any time soon, at least not until after the car is 8 years old. Dealer won't say or do anything unless its directly effecting the issue you're going in for if you take it in for anything, it'll be a warranty issue if anything.
Consider selling the car and switching to a Z06 or Tesla Model S, or potentially relocating out of California.
This. I wish I could afford the California tax. Even just to experience it for a little while. I would most definitely stick out there ?
Don't take it personally, you aren't the one who ruined that state. Would you move to SF, homeless capital of the world, or LA which is currently on fire and unable to be contained due to government incompetence? Nobody said the weather and scenery wasn't nice, too bad that isn't enough to make up for the rest. There are plenty of other beautiful places in this country.
I am not gonna talk politics in a car forum. I agree there are other beautiful places in the country, I am upstate NY and I absolutely love it over here. I been to LA and know a lot of people that live there, I think everyone got their ideas and what works for them and what doesn't but what I do know from going there is that Cali has some great things and some bad things just like literally everywhere in the world. I am not moving there and I understand and respect why some would not want to move there either.
