Ok this thing is nice for sure

I can see how it can generate more downforce. Its wider in every direction and side plates are larger too. Very cool piece can’t wait to try it on track. Saved a wooping 3 lbs lol (actually pretty impressive)

Cutting 3lb is never a bad thing.

I can’t read the article. But I assume the track data log is more useful than a dyno. This is why I send my track data log to Jester for tuning after my track days.
Gotta get that GRM subscription, totally worth it and support the track folks that test for us.

TL;DR Basically more boost created higher IAT and they ended up with lower max speeds down the straights than on stock tune

Brought the car back to try and break that 2:00 Buttonwillow barrier while still stock, but got held up in traffic on my best 2:00 lap ?

Still seriously impressed with the level of performance these cars can bring stock. Next up for me is a few choice suspension pieces, Hondata & wheels/tires!

That's some awesome driving! How'd your PS4's hold up? I'll be there this Saturday for HTAC. Going to be my second time there with my FL5. First time was stock. This time, I have wheels/tires, PMU club racer pads, brake fluids, and EVS tuning front camber ball joints.

PS4S were surprisingly good, I mean they got absolutely roasted to oblivion Lol, but for a stock tire they held on pretty good. Fronts definitely get heat saturated and start to fall off, but that's pretty expected from FWD. Especially the front left got killed each track day, so now having rotated them I think I'm well out of having "good enough" stock tires anymore Lol. Outside edge is completely hammered.

But oh sweet! I'm actually going to the HTAC event also! But with my EF Civic this time. Should be a fun event, as long as the rain stays away ?

Another TLDR is that OTS tunes are not designed for track use...and that there are "tuners" and "tooners". Finding a proper tuner who knows how to tune for track use and temps management over long periods of time is vital to your car's success and health. A tuner that tunes for dyno charts and a few street pulls is not what you are looking for.

Used a standard stick-on gopro mount, but used Gorilla double sided tape (standard 3M stuff wasn't strong enough and the camera fell off during my first track day lol) and some extra pieces to get the viewing angle, and it was solid. This way I just unclip the mount off afterwards, and it'll just leave the base stuck on the seat hole.

Also ran an external mic out to the rear bumper, but it's just stock exhaust lol. But figure it is better than hearing nothing from inside Lol.
