My longest car ownership was a 2008 TL. Had it 5 years. 2004 TSX close second, I had it 4 years.

lol me too. at least 80 cars I'm sure I have forgotten some over the years. My wife has basically said don't lose too much money and don't even think about getting rid of our van. Everything else is good ?
The struggle is real

still happened/happens in my mid 40s ? We have had more cars than years on the planet, close to 50. nothing crazy but definitely looked like we ran a car business.

Longest vehicles we've owned all were 3 year leases that we kept til the end:
  • 2006 Altima SE-R, no one would give value on a trade so it stayed
  • 2013 Chrysler Town and Country, a minivan is one of the best vehicles you can have if you have kids, SUVs are terrible by comparison.
  • 2013 BMW 335xi, payment was actually very good, so we held on to this one til the end
  • 2021 Mazda CX-9, we do love our Mazdas too.

One of the biggest regrets was not buying a brand new leftover S2000 CR for $30k. It probably would have been traded in before they blew up in price, but would have checked that box off

You guys have me crushed lol - your numbers themselves don't shock me as I know some people that are in the 100-150 range, but I keep a running list - I'm only up to 25 lol.

There really aren't many I look back on and reminisce about as they all had reasons for leaving, but I did really enjoy my C5Z06 (which was in great shape and a blast to drive), I had a low mileage Shelby GT that was pretty cool, and the Lexus RC-F I had prior to the Type R will probably be looked back on as one of the best low-effort track day toys I've ever owned, but otherwise no real regrets that come to mind. I did own a really nice E92 M3 Competition, and that was a beautiful car, but I didn't want to maintain it out of warranty, and I think that was the right call. ?

considering 98% of the time we only had 1 car each or just 1, 50 is not bad since we lived in the city for a majority of it. Even out in the 'burbs we keep the 1 car per driver for the most part. If we had the space, that number would have been higher for sure.

Since I started Time Attack in 2020, I always take great pride in saying that my #racecar is my daily that I drop my kids to school in. So my builds have always been compromised in some way.

I only have a 2 car garage. I hate keeping a car in the driveway, so no room for more. Which is good. I'd bring home every stray car I found. With no plan, no motivation, just to have it ?

I remember when I had a BRZ a couple companies made products like "Trac-Box" or "Track Monster Box". It was a small microprocessor that connects to the canbus and would do the pedal-dance (or a number of other functions) for you, either automatically at start-up, or via a button press. Does anyone make something like this for the FL5?

to my knowledge no, and I've been asking but no one seems eager to make one.

The windows software only lets you choose pull-down menu options from oem steering wheel and drive modes

Ok this thing is nice for sure

I can see how it can generate more downforce. Its wider in every direction and side plates are larger too. Very cool piece can’t wait to try it on track. Saved a wooping 3 lbs lol (actually pretty impressive)
