Interesting catch, that digit indicates the plant code, but the the first letter of the VIN designates the country of origin. As long as the VIN still starts JHMFL5, it's going to be made in Japan. If they start making CTR's in mexico, good luck.

The S/T character in the VIN indicates model year. S is 2025, T is 2026. 2024 is R, 2023 is P.

If you go to the hardware store or car part store and get a small vacuum hose, you can slice it longways, then use it as a trim piece around the hole you cut, hiding the jaggies.

a lot of it comes down to the products used. The sponge they're using it cut into grids which helps it give way and not grind contaminants into the clear causing those swirls. Also, the polymer based rinseless wash will help encapsulate the dirt and rinse it from the sponge super easily...

Ceramic won't prevent swirls/scratches, only good washing technique will do prevent those. I'd recommend looking into rinseless washing. Makes for easy, quick, swirl free washes. The foam canon pre-rinse is optional and generally only used when the car is super dirty. You can do the same...
