  1. Honda Collection Hall - Cars and Coffee

Damn, I was looking forward to this....
  2. Dust Boot Cooked!!

It's pretty straightforward when I did it. It's easier to change them when the pistons are sticking out. Use a pick to pry out the old dust boots, then slip on the new dust boots. I removed the rotor and bolted the caliper back on so that I can work on removing the old boots and installing the...
  3. Dust Boot Cooked!!

I'm probably going to go with the Girodisc dust boot kit: Girodisc Dust Boot Evasive motorsports Just ordered a set of new pads too. I Currently have Project Mu Clubracer pads on my car. Tried ordering another set, but it's on backorder. Going to try Paragon R5 front / Paragon P3 rear
  4. Dust Boot Cooked!!

Was inspecting my brake pads, and this is what I discovered. Dust boots are cooked after multiple track days. Any of you know how to replace these?
  5. Choosing a radiator for occasional track days, help

Even though it's a good deal, you're still wasting your time and money on the HEL oil cooler. I'm considering the WOT oil cooler. That's the only product I see available that is worth buying.
  6. Choosing a radiator for occasional track days, help

Honestly, If I had to do it all over again, I would do PWR Radiator. But I'm stubborn and already went the CSF route. Adding an oil cooler should put less load on the radiator to cool down the coolant and oil. FYI, the HEL oil cooler is mounted in front of the radiator, so that might not help...
  7. Choosing a radiator for occasional track days, help

I track my car and I do have the CSF Radiator and the Acuity Reverse flow hoses. Cooling has improved but car still overheats. I need to do a cool down after 4 laps. I recommend removing that bulky PRL intercooler which blocks airflow to the radiator. I'm thinking of adding an oil cooler down...
  8. *The FL5 Track Junkie Thread*

That's really good tire wear. how much camber are you running?
  9. CSF Radiator + Acuity Reverse Flow Coolant hose + PRL intercooler

Hey Guys! Sorry for the late response. Changes I made this time around: - Switched back to Stock intercooler - Installed HPT cooling plate Weather was hotter, cooling was improved with more airflow going into the radiator but car still overheats. At 75F ambient, the coolant temps get to 230F...
  10. CSF Radiator + Acuity Reverse Flow Coolant hose + PRL intercooler

Track day tomorrow again at buttonwillow. Weather forecast says high is going to be 100F. Put the stock intercooler back on and installed the WOT HPT Cooling Plate to replace the stock undertray. Let's see what happens!
  11. Pedal dance or no pedal dance

I agree. Pedal dance + individual mode with dampers set to comfort. +R mode suspension is too stiff for the track. See you tomorrow!
  12. Pedal dance or no pedal dance

Since you're a novice driver, I would keep the nannies on. This car rotates pretty well into the turns for a FWD car. I would suggest that you set it at +R mode straight up. Main thing is to be familiar with the track and learn the lines!! Watch youtube footage of buttonwillow and review the...
  13. How to deal with stock 1-2 gear rev hang?

1 to 2 shifts are slower than I normally would shift in my previous car which was an FRS. I just had to adjust my shifting style with the FL5 which isn't a huge deal. I could still drive smoothly.
  14. CSF Radiator + Acuity Reverse Flow Coolant hose + PRL intercooler

I had the opportunity to test this set up at Buttonwillow with ambient temps up to 95F last weekend. Unfortunately, the car ran into cooling issues. Coolant and oil temps were the highest I've seen and worse than before with stock radiator and intercooler The first session wasn't that hot yet...
  15. Official CHAMPIONSHIP WHITE FL5 Type R Photos Thread

Track Day at buttonwillow. It was hot!
