yeah maybe time to replace but I still believe the juddering is from deposits. I bet the R5s put some mean deposits in there, the R7s are more abrasive and may eventually clean the deposits but might take a bit. I sanded the rotors lightly and then switched to a more abrasive pad, took a few track days but now its almost good.

Mine were doing the same a light touch and you can feel vibration, usually at lower speeds. Slowing down for a slower corner and the car felt like all tires were flat. This shit ruined my first track day of the season last year, it was so bad.
It was crazy bad at high speed and then translated under light braking in the slower corners. Car would cool down and be fine for another 5 laps on the next session, then it would start again.

Try the sr11 or sr21 with us ?
The price is amazing and the performance is too. however I will admit that I still think the ferodo 1.11s are better, I mean yes they are 3 times the price but the bite is similar to the SR11 but you get more modulation which the SR11 lacks a bit... it does get better when they get hop. for for 200 and some change they really are excellent, I am actually very surprised lol specially after hearing so many times that EBC is garbage

I found a brand new set of DS3.12's in my garage today. I love them, but my wallet doesn't. Have you tried them?

Haha! I might! When you come out in May just let me know if you want me to sit passenger. I can try to give you some tips and tricks.
I thought that was a given ? new track and intimidating too. I'll need some help.

I have not but have heard great things from some people I value their opinion, would totally love to try them too. From what I remember the 3.12 has even more bite but I do think the 1.11s does not need any more.

Like you if my wallet allowed Ferodo is all I would run (do want to try counterspace garage but the price is similar too)

The 3.12's are fantastic and have incredible modulation. Hate to say it though.....the Paragons are cheaper and modulate better, and last quite well. 3.12 wins on the bite, and that's it.

the R5s did modulate quite good I will give em that, the bite was anemic though but I do love a good initial bite, definitely takes time to get used to. Sometimes moving from other cars to the type R I touch the brake and it wakes me the fuck up lol

I have already nuked my factory front rotors. After 4 laps the car shakes like crazy. I'm going to put my six piston kit back on. Bigger brakes don't stop you faster. They dissipate heat better. Pad compound, contact patch and tire tread wear rating (lower) stop the car faster.
That's more a pad transfer issue. The rotors are 2 piece, so it's not like they get warped easy.

I have the R5 and brand new they didn't get broken in properly because of the rain, and they shudder like crazy

Yep, sounds exactly like what happens. I may try some CSG pads next time, but want to get a chance to rebed these and see what happens
I had thought pad smear initially, but then I got it in my head that it was the rotors because it was only happening after the rotors got hot and expanded.

I was never able to get the R5s to not judder after I got deposits. I just don’t think they are abrasive enough to get rid of the deposits with rebeding, at least on the street. They got better after I sanded the rotors but got bad again after a track day. With the SR11s after a track day the deposits from the R5s mostly went away.
Can always get hawk blue pads to really clear the deposits then switch back to the R5s but I think you will just get deposits again, I thought it was me when I was complaining a few months ago but seems like more people are having issues now

So it's not only me

The OEM pads cleaned them out in a few weeks.
