You don’t need to take the whole lower seat off. You just need to move it forward to give enough space to get to the rear left panel. There is a 10mm bolt near the bottom and the airbag sensor. If you don’t want to unplug the airbag sensor, you don’t need to, just slightly less slack.
You’re right. I took it out just to have a look at the space below as when you slide it forward it’s essentially out anyway and just sitting there.

for sure, a little longer would be nice. Maybe a good business for someone to sell a longer hook with a cover that has a hole perfectly but into it.
I took off the EVS tow hook on the S2000. The stem thread is much smaller. The tow hook hole on the FL5 is much larger. What’s interesting on the EVS tow hook for the S2000, you can actually take off the hook itself. I thought I could do that on the new one so I can cut a smaller hole. But the new tow hook can’t be removed. The only way to cut a smaller hole is to have a longer stem. I give up. Going to let Evasive know.

Got the Apexi front pipe and exhaust installed earlier in the day. It is loud even in comfort mode. I hope my wife doesn’t give me the stink eye every time she sits in it. I already told her it isn’t as loud as my S2000 but it is noticeable. Especially between 3k-4k range, there is a bit of drone. But we are stuck with it. ?

Also had this custom steering wheel put on. While the steering wheel felt great in the hands and digging the looks, the steering wheel did not align. No matter how we situated the teeth, it would either cock to the left or right when going straight. The shop used a 2022 Civic sport model that had paddle shifters. While all those can be removed, I think it’s just the wrong wheel to work off from. The installer who has done a few steering wheels for the FL5 told me he’s only seen stamping of A1 on the steering wheel and this one is B1. Anyone with a custom steering wheel can confirm on this?

Exhaust looks sick !
As far as the steering wheel just close one eye it works for me on late Friday nights ?
All kidding aside it definitely sounds like that steering wheel Is not the right one for the FL5.

New Endless pads after obliterating the OEM's on a couple track days

TSP Downpipe finally in. Huge PITA.

PRL front pipe in. Super easy install. Fits like a glove.

I am curious, what was hard on the downpipe install? I have had my OEM downpipe in and out a couple times doing random stuff and thought it was quite easy to remove/reinstall. Just seeing if it was something with the aftermarket downpipe or if the OEM one fought you.

You didn't have to fight the downpipe studs/bolts? That seems to be the biggest issue people have. The studs can snap pretty easily. I never did it on my FK8, but has planned to soak the crap out of them with Sea Foam.

Oh, yeah the studs are by far the worst part. I had to fight with mine, maybe I blocked that trauma out, haha.

I replaced them all with titanium hardware so it is so much easier now. That makes sense in that case, if you have the OEM hardware it is stressful and slows you down a lot (potentially a whole lot if a stud/bolt snaps off).

Is the EPR front lip in the style of Varis front lip? I like what you have since it doesn’t add much height to it and take away ground clearance.

It would be easier to ignore if I didn’t have the center redline to remind me.

The exhaust is pretty cool. I like it so far.

1. Removing the nuts off the DP studs without completely galling the threads.
2. Attempting to remove the studs for replacement (could never find a solution that didn't require a welder). Would love help/advice on how you did it.
3. Angling out and pulling the actual DP from the engine bay. There is a proper way but every YT video skips it.
4. Squeezing the new DP with the OEM heat shield in place.

I've worked on many cars in the past, and for the simple task at hand, this was unnecessarily tedious.
