so the hoo
I used one that looks like a Y do it came off rather easily.

I attempted to make cuts on a new cover but when I went to the one I did yesterday to see where I can make smaller cuts I just don’t see much other than the top where I could have not cut as high to show the white panel. Otherwise, there’s not much to “cut less”. I actually need to cut a little more on the left.

The lower portion is where the wrench would go to tighten and the top needs clearance so the tow hook can rotate the thread into the stem.

hmmm, so the hook does not fully stay outside the plastic piece? I was hoping to drill a perfect circle and then have the shaft of the hook go in but I guess the hook sits way too in for that.

Could you take a pic from top down? pleaseee :D

Finally got my Integra Type S ADS module from the US after a long wait. I’ve seen the tide is turning somewhat on this mod but to add my views this has been a transformative upgrade. Our roads in Australia are trash and they make the CTR even in comfort mode jiggly and nervous on bad roads. I feel like the ADS module in my experience flattens out the smaller bumps much better and inspires more confidence on the road. It’s also given me a usable +R mode for the road. If anyone is on the fence I would highly recommend giving it a go. I feel like if Honda did what Renault did with a Cup and Trophy suspension setup for some of their RS models where one is track focussed and the other street focussed then the ADS module would be their street setup.
In short I love it. Still feels planted and a focussed car but with some compliance to it like in what I’ve experience with the current M2 and Supra.

The whole seat has to come out for the ADS? On the FK8, it was just a trim piece on the driver side rear seat.

Sounds like it’s perfect for you ??
Fortunately the roads by me are very good but I have been on a couple of rough roads but fortunately it’s very rare for me. With that being said if it was like that all the time by me I’d definitely be going Type S module. I prefer a stiff ride depending the road of course though.

You don’t need to take the whole lower seat off. You just need to move it forward to give enough space to get to the rear left panel. There is a 10mm bolt near the bottom and the airbag sensor. If you don’t want to unplug the airbag sensor, you don’t need to, just slightly less slack.

It’s not long enough. The tow hook comes in two pieces. There is the stem that is male on one end and female on the other with a locking hex washer. It threads into the tow hole but it’s not long enough to make it past the bumper cover. The tow hook has a male end with a movable hex washer. It threads into the first piece and even if you don’t thread it all the way it barely makes it past the bumper cover. You can see it in the picture. I wanted to thread as much as possible.

I’m sure someone on the forum did a much better job than me cutting. And might correct me.

yeah from the top can really see how much it sticks in. Makes it much hard to get this to look clean because have to take a big chunk out of it.

Before I tried installing it, I drilled a big enough hole for it. But once I tried to put the second piece on, it couldn’t even reach. That’s when I realized, I needed to cut. And I made multiple cuts because I didn’t want to cut too much.

Maybe tomorrow I’ll email Evasive and give them the feedback to make the stem longer.

What I can also try out next time is to see if my EVS tow hook on my S2000 threads into the FL5. Visually it seems longer and might allow me to just drill a big round hole.

for sure, a little longer would be nice. Maybe a good business for someone to sell a longer hook with a cover that has a hole perfectly but into it.

Me too. I don't mind a stiff ride so long as it's not bouncing you and breaking traction all the time. The highest selling cars in the Australia are utility vehicles and I can see why because our roads are so bad.
