Went to purchase a Type R yesterday at a dealer. They suggested I wait a month for the new type r release. They expected some changes that may be worth waiting for rather than get into the current available cars.

Any speculation about what these changes might be?

Worth waiting?

For all that is good and right, please fix the dampening programming and get rid of the bouncing in high speed corners, Honda.

And sell THAT module to all of us instead of the overhyped ITS one.

I debated that for a bit and just went with a 24’ FL5. I watched a few 11 Gen Accord videos w/ the new infotainment and I felt like Apple CarPlay is fine. Even if they add it to the FL5, I wouldn’t want to pay more for it. I also wanted to get ahead of the annoying price increases.

Update may entail a bumper re-style, and some infotainment updates. perhaps a seat re-fresh, but there is no telling...

No update in 2025. Your dealer is on meth.
Yep. If there was going to be any meaningful updates (especially within the next month) we all KNOW this info would be a headline here before the dealership had a clue.

Next gen is rumored to be this, hence why I bought an FL5 before it becomes ruined.
Right. I think the OP is referring to the mid-model “facelift” FL5, which usually happens after a model has been out a couple of years. This is normal. Refer the FK8 release vs facelift FK8

Any FL5 refresh will probably only get what carries over from the new Civic hatchback. Darker taillights, Google built into the infotainment system, & USB-c ports.

Let me guess, the dealer didn't have any Type R's available?

I haven't used a car's infotainment since Carplay was invented.
