The second cat version will be what ships with preorders?
- The ECU will adapt to this modification. We installed our catted version with no problems and are still currently driving the car around with no tune.
- All factory mounting points are retained/used aside from the heatshield that we decided not to use because not to use this. Our cat design/shape varies from the factory unit and have not seen a need to incorporate a heatshield in our design.
- No additional hardware is required, we made use of factory o2 sensors. All hardware needed to install such as gaskets, nuts, bolts, etc are included.
- As of now fuel economy with our catted piece is comparible to the factory unit. We will post final numbers when we finish testing our second version cat.
- We are working to make sure our catted downpipe keeps CELs off. If there are no CELs thrown cars will pass emissions/inspections.
- Installation can be done with a jack and jack-stands. The book calls for right around a 3-hour install, which is pretty close to what it took us. The install is pretty straight forward, but we will try to get an install vid or writeup posted upon release! Please note that like most downpipe installs, customers do risk breaking/damaging studs/nuts coming from the turbine housing due to the heat that is produced.
