On the catless one correct? Catted is good?
Our version 1 300 CEL cat with the angled extension triggered a catylist efficiency after about a day and a half of driving, which we suspected may happen. We are working on testing our V2 300 CEL cat with a unique "high load" coating to help eliminate this code. Coincidentally, this is the only o2 code that is eliminated on Subaru platforms, so we are looking into this for the 10th Gen market as well. Our goal is to make sure all CELs are off.

Ok, so no change in pre order status or pricing......so 10, 15 or 20% off the combination can still happen depending on the number of orders
Correct!

10% off is given no matter how many people pre orders. if 10-19 pre order, you will get 15% off the COMBO package. 20 or more preorder will get 20% off

So if we already have the hondata flash, we would gain about 10 whp on top of what we already have with that tune at peak?

Correct, and all of the bottom end, midrange and top-end torque gains.
I wonder what the limit of the CVT will be? I wonder if this will pass visual in CA considering the piping looks very large an shiny.

I wonder if you can do a dyno of stock cvt, then cvt with hondata, then cvt with your 3" system (catted downpipe and front pipe) just so we can see the bump over and on top of the hondata tune...otherwise we are to assume, the cvt model with hondata tune would have made around 203 at the wheels on this dynojet?

Any way you would be willing to take a segmented, lesser deposit for all of us shwaybe-ers that prefer to hold out for the 20% discount? If you could lock in people on a contingent basis for the 20% tier, and you get another 15+ people... BAMM! Err'body happy. Eh? EHH?

Hard to say just yet, we are working on testing our CVT trans cooler kit for added safety.

That seems pretty in line with what we expect, we will dyno the car stock with Hondata once we finish testing our cat.

We briefly discussed this, but didn't find it fair for the people willing to pay their deposits up front. We have quite a few pending pre-orders that we are just waiting for payment(s) on, but are confident that we will reach the 15% discount tier, especially with income tax season starting. If/when it does, will $31 really hold you back from buying two high quality exhaust pieces if it doesn't reach the 20% tier?

Not as of yet. We are on standby until it gets installed, we will keep you posted. Good news is that the catless versions should be able to ship a bit sooner than expected. We will keep you posted over the next few days!

This thread has gotten beefy-long; so, I apologize for not heaving read through it all to see if my questions have already been brought up and answered:
  • Will the ECU adapt to this modification as it would a CAI without a tune, nullifying the benefits?
  • For the catted version, are the mounts and matings OE/stock compatible? That is to say: Is this a direct replacement for the stock pipes and cat?
  • Is additional hardware, such as O2 sensors or adapters for stock O2 sensors, required?
  • Do we know what impacts this mod has to fuel economy and emissions?
  • Are these parts, as a direct replacement, qualified/guaranteed to pass emissions inspections (I am selfish, and not in CA, so I do not care about CA/50-state legal)?
  • Could the installation of the pipes be done by someone with jack stands and a creeper, or do they require profession installation/access to a lift?
  • If profession installation is likely, does anyone have a sense of what it ought to cost?
Thanks.

  • The ECU will adapt to this modification. We installed our catted version with no problems and are still currently driving the car around with no tune.
  • All factory mounting points are retained/used aside from the heatshield that we decided not to use because not to use this. Our cat design/shape varies from the factory unit and have not seen a need to incorporate a heatshield in our design.
  • No additional hardware is required, we made use of factory o2 sensors. All hardware needed to install such as gaskets, nuts, bolts, etc are included.
  • As of now fuel economy with our catted piece is comparible to the factory unit. We will post final numbers when we finish testing our second version cat.
  • We are working to make sure our catted downpipe keeps CELs off. If there are no CELs thrown cars will pass emissions/inspections.
  • Installation can be done with a jack and jack-stands. The book calls for right around a 3-hour install, which is pretty close to what it took us. The install is pretty straight forward, but we will try to get an install vid or writeup posted upon release! Please note that like most downpipe installs, customers do risk breaking/damaging studs/nuts coming from the turbine housing due to the heat that is produced.
