I have the tri tip remark exhaust with front pipe. I love the sound of it. I have yet to do the downpipe. That along with getting tuned is on my to do list. Back to the exhaust though, I honestly have no complaints, and the quality is very nice.

I’m considering both of remarks you mentioned- dual and triple q. What were your thoughts on them? Is the triple Q too soft ? Thx.
We can help you with this. The Factor on here got the dual tip from us and loves it, the triple tip valved is on the more quiet side.

To the OP though, a titanium downpipe and possible titanium exhaust would be awesome. I ran Apexi on mine and loved it, was deep and not that loud!

I will start looking seriously in a month. Will definitely contact you. I am in socal and can pick it up.

Would like to keep the 3 tip option as I think it is part of the look of this car. Is the remark triple, slightly quieter or a lot quieter than the dual tip? Ideally for my needs I want something that isn’t too loud on cold start for my neighbors at early mornings yet still throaty and deep as I rev it.

It is nice to listen to something build as you shift through the gears.

IMO, Remus sounds the best. Most if not all of these aftermarket exhausts are way too raspy and just make more noise for the sake of it - but the Remus sounds actually tasteful. Unfortunately it can be pretty hard and expensive to source so I opted for the front res delete and am pretty happy for now.

Hey all! So have been doing some digging for a potential new exhaust for the 10 day old FL5 and so far have been disappointed with the sound of them. I'm looking for something DEEP and mellow sounding, more so, tired of obnoxious and buzzy like I've been seeing.

The ONLY one that's close? The TOMEI dual pipe, surprisingly without mufflers even, sounds the best! Armytrix, AWS, and on and on just sound too....buzzy/tinny/noisy.

Any insight would be appreciated!!
if you’ve landed on an Armytrix video/listing, you’re definitely in the wrong place 😆

I’m really enjoying the Hybrid Racing on my FL5 - deep and mellow tone, no fuss with fitment or any sort of rattles. Independent valve control is a huge bonus for me as well.

We’ve installed a number of exhausts here at the shop including AWE Track and Touring, MBRP, 27WON, HKS Hi-Power, both Invidia variants, Milltek, Tomei, and in my opinion the Hybrid is the most mellow, followed by Invidia Q300. I’ve heard Spoon in person, that’s also quite mild as well.

I’m having a hard time picking which exhaust to test next because it is my personal car, and I’d like to keep the volume levels about the same.

Can confirm. The q300 with valves closed in comfort and half open in sport (I have a type s) is super mellow and mature. With the valve open in sport plus there’s this Duality to the unit. It can be so tame and so wild all at once.

can recommend if you’re willing to put up with invidias bullshit. I myself had to take mine to an exhaust shop to repair some dings in the piping. Invidia also forgot to include the hardware and forced me to pay shipping for it. And they till this day still ship and package like shit. It’s been this way since the late 90’s with them for some reason and I knew what I was getting myself into before purchasing. Not my first invidia exhaust.

but that q300 sound and texture is so awesome. I did have the resonator removed and swapped with a fluid motor union 3” in and out megaphone. With the valve open it sounds incredible. The individual pulses shine!

are there any 'fly by' sound clips out there of the Hybrid or q300? can't find anything on hybrid stuff. aside from 'idle' sounds which makes no sense

I have one but it’s not a flyby. It’s on a dyno. This is on stock dp and with the valve open + megaphone in place of the q300 resonator

is that the hybrid? The Invidia sounds great too
Correct, this is Hybrid. We’ve posted a DE5 Q300 video on our YouTube, it would sound the same minus the pops.

Like it much better WITHOUT the megaphone!
