It might be even more than 4k, usually akra is over 5k but who knows about market, people buy expensive JDM stuff and stuff is expensive. It's not like there's not a market for a high end exhaust for this platform. If it's titanium (or better yet, inconel) I'd pay $4k+ for it.
I don’t doubt that you would and a small handful of others as well. The market does exist, but it’s a very narrow niche. High-quality titanium options have been available for some time (Amuse, FGK, J’s Racing, Remark), and uptake has been limited. There’s no indication this would be materially different. It's not like there's not a market for a high end exhaust for this platform. If it's titanium (or better yet, inconel) I'd pay $4k+ for it.
Yeah the Amuse is $4,700 so I imagine it will be in that ballpark.I don’t doubt that you would and a small handful of others as well. The market does exist, but it’s a very narrow niche. Everyone is interested until it's time to pay. There’s plenty of "Oohhs & Aahhs" early on, but once the numbers are public, the conversation quickly shifts to cost and why it’s “too expensive.” If an HRC Akrapovič system were released, it’s hard to imagine it coming in under $4,750, and history suggests the buyer pool at that price point would be quite small.
Idk. I understand and agree with all you said here, but I don't know where you or I or anyone would be able to scrounge up tangible data to do an actual Total Addressable Market analysis. It just feels like this forum for example is active enough to where it could make sense.I don’t doubt that you would and a small handful of others as well. You're right, that information is not readily available to most. I’m not claiming access to hard sales or TAM data, this is an inference based on observable market signals. High-end titanium systems have already been available for this platform for years, at known price points, with limited visible adoption. If demand at the $4–5k level were meaningfully deep, we’d see consistent sell-through, scarcity, or sustained momentum, and we don’t.Idk. Besides, I just double checked and you're trying to suggest a boutique brand like Akra or Kline wouldn't want to try sliding into the FL5/DE5 market when they're content to go after GTIs, Mustangs, and 370Zs?
I think the argument could be made both sides. Like I said, I disagree with nothing you're saying- but I also feel like the market for this platform is catching up rapidly. You're right, that information is not readily available to most. Premium manufacturers like Akrapovič and Kline tend to follow platforms where enthusiasm reliably converts into volume at that price tier. Their continued focus on platforms like the GTI, Mustang, and 370Z reflects larger buyer pools and proven attach rates. By comparison, the FL5/DE5 audience appears smaller, more price-sensitive, and already well served making the ROI case for another boutique titanium system difficult to justify.
