Word on the street. Just like they kept complaining when I told everyone the TLX was dead last June....and guess what :)

We'll see....I work for Acura so see some inside stuff on both ends. We can tell eventually based on build information. Like the TLX....no 26's were showing up on the "locator"...so we suspected :)

so what's your best guess? Are we getting limited edition like 2021 for the FK8? do you see us getting a 2027 and that would include the LE? I'm in the market again and honestly would love to actually own the last year of a dying bread. Anything other than the type R that would give it a run for its money ?

It's crazy to me that the FL5 has gone up so much on MSRP since launch with no improvements. Google says it launched at a $42,896+destination and now it's $46,895+destination. The car is guaranteed to have a markup too 😵💫
To be fair lots of cars and makes have increased pricing over the same time.
Moreover, I’m sure Honda wants a piece of the adm pricing for themselves.

Over 90% of FK8s and FL5 sold new for 55k or more even back in 2017. Of course Honda would want a piece of that instead of it going to dealerships. When you look at what an M3 costs, the FL5 is an insane value. Golf R and GR Corolla are just straight up inferior cars one only buys if they can't get an FL5.

Well they just showed the HRC concept, and it seems to just be the current FL5 with some add-ons. But they announced no details about any of the parts. Why are they still developing these if the car is reaching the end of its run?

FWIW The price increase is just following inflation, not even really adjusting for the 15% tariff that Japanese imports now get. $42,896 in October 2022 is now $46,654

so your thoughts are that even 2027 should be available next year ? I'm trying to ''time'' last year to actually own last year model type r forever hhaha

No I'm not expecting that, I just don't understand what the rationale is behind Honda not launching the HRC stuff this late into the vehicle life cycle. Maybe they're gonna sell them after production ends? I guess as a way to continue making money off existing owners maybe lol.

I suspect they aren't really paying a 15% tariff on FL5s, they probably have some deal worked out based on US content, or maybe based on Trump TACOing.

Honda isn't likely paying $6k tariff on FL5s or they'd increase prices or cancel it.

Doubt there will be a 27. If your in a position to get one, and want brand new. I would just get one now.
