Update 1 Link

Hello! I purchased my '24 Championship White FL5 in January of 2024 and have absolutely loved it. I'm not planning to do anything crazy to it because it is already so good from the factory. That said, there are things I wish Honda had done differently so I plan to address those things and add a few extra mods that appeal to my inner JDM fanboy. I've been a part of this forum for a little while now and I am creating this thread to help me keep track of what I've done to the car and to hopefully help anyone who is looking for OEM+ inspiration. I traded my '22 Civic Si in for my FL5 so I also have experience with that car (although I left that one entirely stock).

I bought the FL5 knowing that there were some things that I immediately wanted to change. I bought spacers and LED light bulbs within the first few days of owning the car and have slowly been adding to it since. I like to research things a lot so I take my time before each purchase to make sure I know exactly what I'm getting - I'm the complete opposite of an impulse buyer. This helps explain why I started a few threads on lowering springs, and exhaust options. I have always loved JDM cars and so my goal for the car was to keep it as JDM as possible. I did deviate away from JDM parts on my springs and RMM and the OCD part of me now wishes I'd stuck with Spoon for those, but I'm happy with how the car looks and drives. Thanks for checking out this thread!

I've been thinking about doing 20mm spacers front and rear. Is it too much poke with 20mm in the front? Any rubbing? Thanks.

@Xmetal it depends what you consider poke. If you are looking from the top of the wheel arch, there is no poke in the front with the stock tires. It's basically dead flush. Any more (say 22mm) and you would start to see poke. The rear could actually give a little more to be dead flush. I chose to keep it even with 20mm on all 4 wheels, but I've seen others who have gone 20mm in the front and 25mm in the rear.

No rubbing at all. I will say at 20mm I do notice torque steer more. If that is an issue you might want to go with a less aggressive spacer.

Perfect - Thanks for the note with torque steer  I don't think anyone who has put on spacers had mention this. Very good input and is definitely worth considering.

At stock camber, 15mm spacers in the front were pretty solid fitment-wise, but since increasing my camber to -2.75, I really need a 20-22mm spacer because the top of wheel is pretty sunk. If you're considering more camber up front I would suggest skipping the 15mm spacers. It's fairly common for people to run 15 up front and 20 in the rear with the stock alignment.

I’m Running 20mm back and 15mm front on spoon springs. Very happy with the looks and handling with absolutely no torque steer.

I am running 20mm front /25mm rear. Dropped on H&R's(no bump stop trimming required) and running a 35 profile tire. No issues at all. Ideal flush fitment. Have not experienced any torque steer increase at all. I also don't live my life a 1/4 mile at a time but on a DD basis its still a blast to drive and way more capable than I would ever push it.

What exhaust do you have? Any drone?
Remark SS and love it in all areas !
I don’t think there’s a aftermarket exhaust that doesn’t sound like stock and sounds good that doesn’t have some interpretation of drone. With that being said with the radio off cruising on the freeway around 65ish and listening for it yes you do but very mild. But turn the radio on low volume and still communicate with passengers with no problem and hear nothing. For a while I could say I heard no drone but now after a few months I’ve come to that conclusion above. Remark makes a great exhaust and sounds so good . I can say this if I had a choice I’d do it again the exact same exhaust.
That’s my completely transparent and honest experience with my Remark Exhaust .

Honestly if you’re not lowered enough then yes it’ll look like it’s poking too much. I personally went with 15mm spacers while running H&R springs, because 20mm looks off to me in the front at least the rear looked good with 20mm.
