So today I’m doing the recall on my R the same dealer that screwed my wheel a year ago, also is the closest one that I have sadly try to contact a Acura dealer but no success on that and bring it because I heard a click noise when I go full turn on the car. I try to ask on another post but wasn’t a clear answer on it on what I should look for so I bring it to get it done and see if that take away that click noise when I turn. Let you know what is going to happen and how the car come out of this work get done.

Shouldn't be an issue. The dealers have done this fix on so many Civics already. They did my worm gear fix and rotated the tires in like 45 minutes. The steering will probably feel noticeably lighter and "consistent" throughout end to end lock out. Also, "clicking" should be gone (assuming that's the culprit). I noticed the change in the steering for the better as soon as I drove away from the dealership. Good luck!

Hope is better and I don’t run into any major issues with them hopefully that’s the fix and not a band aid.
I had the clicking noise pre- and post- recall fix. 🤷‍♂️
Wow you took it back? What they told you? I just noticed it when coming out my driveway.

I didn’t take it back. It’s intermittent, and doesn’t bother me much. I’ve also still got a ton of warranty, so if it gets worse, then I’ll take it in.

Had it done and felt zero difference. I had zero issues prior (i.e. no clicking or sticking)

Well just got it back will report in a couple of days but so far the noise isn’t there time will tell. Like I said hope this isn’t just a band aid fix to get out the way of a lawsuit or something I don’t know how that works lol.

We’ll drove it today and the clicking noise still there so like I thought is a band aid solution that doesn’t even fix the problem. Now the dealer knows that my ECU is jailbroken probably if the steering rack fails they will blame it on the ECU being jailbroken.

That'll be pretty crazy, they'd have to find that the ecu being jailbroken was the actual cause.

Doesn’t surprise if they do! But I will try to go this week to see what they say.

Don’t know but the dealership are fishy! I know something stupid will come out their mouth. They messed up my wheel and try to blame it on me for supposedly go through a car wash and the damage was done because they didn’t know how to install the tire on the wheel.

Well went back to the dealer and after one mechanic could not find the noise and "torque" all my bolts related to the suspension and steering except the castle nuts in 10 minutes I’m impressed how quickly they can do all that work on the dealer, but that’s beyond the point ended up on a steering rack replacement and they are gone to keep the car until Honda approves the work. Apparently isn’t safe to use the car that way but I been using that way and because the noise wasn’t consistent they were going to send me in my nary way, yeah that my situation now they gone to put a new steering rack because their master technician pinpoint the noise but the first mechanic "torque", lift the car took the plastic tray and all the process in 10 minutes. So how can you trust the dealer after stuff like this even a mechanic when shady tactics like this are implemented all the time.
