For a good comparison look at the STI S209 that came out. It stickered for 65k and is selling for over 90k. An even more limited FL5 LE could easily fetch 100k to the right buyers.

The FL8 had a limited edition, and I’ve heard the FL5 will have one too.

Anyone know which MY this car will be and how limited it is?
Interesting. Where did you hear the FL5 will have a LE?

Its a 3 year run
What is the source of the FL5 being a three year run? I've heard this on a couple of occasions with no source cited.

Its in some of the early Japanese paperwork/materials if I recall correctly. When all were clamoring about a year ago they listed 3 years production pipeline.

Yeah I remember seeing that too…and also vaguely recall seeing somewhere that they were adding 1 more year to the production run. This may only apply to Japan due to the extreme backlog of orders, I think? Note : I could also be 100% wrong about all this.?

@Clark_Kent FL5 LE is purely speculative. I could see Honda doing a “last call” model though. They did it with the FK8 LE. They also did it with the NSX Type S.

Got it. Makes sense Honda would release a swan song model like they did with the FK8 LE. A number of the posts in this thread suggest information has been released from an authoritative source, which is clearly not the case. If a LE or equivalent is produced, I would be very interested. They did Phoenix Yellow last time out. Would be nice if they offered two colors: Phoenix Yellow and Flamenco Black Pearl.

how do you feel about your decision in hindsight? How was the r33 to drive in comparison?
Completely different as you'd expect, the R33 was a proper modern classic, with all the good and bad that that brings. I kept mine as original as possible, with just a few tweaks to modernise it and that was it. A lot of fun but I didn't have the time to keep working on it and I wanted something with isofix and airbags so my toddler to join in!

So glad I had the R33 but don't regret selling for the FL5 at all, which fits my life much better as a fun family second car.

Sorry for the thread hijack - I agree we might get an LE at the end of the run, but will probably just be a different paint colour and an inflated price!
