Yeah...IMHO wheels look good but that particular tire size looks too chunky. Any reason why you went with a smaller 9.0 wide wheel?

Decent looking wheel, but the aspect ratio is off. Looks like an SUV tire. IIRC you wanted to "lift" the car so this may work for your use case.

Hi.
Yes.

1). Lighter weight than Honda Modulo Forged 19x9.5" wheel , and
2). More room for more tire on smaller wheel. Basically, I'm terrified of curb rash, and will go to great measures in order to reduce the possibility of such a tragedy occurring to me again.

Original OEM FL5 cast wheel and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S in the 265/30ZR19 is very heavy, and the tire is very skinny, both in height and in width.

Weight is measured in Pounds.

OEM FL5 18x9.5 ET +60 wheel and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 265/30ZR19 tire combined weight.
Note the curb rash on the wheel.

Disclaimer:
Keep in mind that this scale was not calibrated prior to weighing these wheels and tires, nor was it calibrated at any point during the weighing process, which was performed all at the same time.

The point here is that we can see definite differences in overall weight, EVEN though I intentionally went way oversized on the Pirelli P Zero tire.

Yes, even I, who want to Unslam my Civic and increase ground clearance for daily driving and highway touring, agree that this 45 sidewall is maybe juuuuust a bit too tall.
Will likely go with a 40 sidewall next time around.
I cannot drive in Comfort mode due to increased instance of rubbing.

So I drive in Sport mode.

The ride is really smooth on the road and highway, until I find myself in any combination of the following:

* Braking moderately or with additional force.
* Turning while braking with more than moderate force.
* Baking or Turning while hitting a bump or dip in the road.

During these conditions there is definitely a bit of rubbing.

Question: "Does it rub?"

Answer: "Yes."

Had to do it. For Science. (and for Fun!)

Science proves that it rubs.
