I ordered the FL5 trunk tray from the ebay seller "alldiscountparts" and it arrived rolled up like a diploma. When I unrolled it, it was all bent up and I'm not sure that it will recover its original form. Should I return this?

They are often shipped rolled up like this or similar. I would notify them of the current condition with a photo and let them know that if it does not return to shape you expect a refund/exchange.

It doesn't help that it is currently winter; however, these items typically return to shape after heat gets to it. Several hours in 80°F+ weather usually restores it to its natural shape.

Hit it with some heat like with a heat gun or better yet a blow dryer since its not as strong and probably wont melt the mat. That should help it get into shape and get out a lot of the creases.

I bought mine from PRL in a similar fashion. Mine eventually straightened out naturally within a few days since I actively use the trunk space.

Also, instructions require you to trim that little piece on the right where it makes contact with the OEM sub, to make it fit flush.

What a poor way to ship a thing like this. We ordered a Husky trunk mat for my wife's Fit last year and it arrived in a skinny box that allowed it to keep its shape.

I understand, but not all that uncommon. It's cheaper to ship it this way if shipped solo. I purchased from ADP as well, but mine wasn't completely rolled since I ordered it with a few other items. It was kind of folded in half and placed inside of a large box.

I got my FL5 a couple weeks ago and the dealer threw in a car cover and cargo tray which weren’t in-stock(of course). Today my sales guy went to ship the cargo tray to me and UPS tried to charge $300 to ship the thing as-packed. Then they said they could do it for less if they folded it up. Nope. So I’ll be driving down to pick it up this weekend lol. No way would I want it folded up. It would probably flatten out over time, but I don’t think it would ever be perfect. OP I would return that tray and buy a new one from a local dealer(order it if necessary). Maybe I’m just too OCD lol.

It's a sacrificial/protective piece of plastic that you'll throw your shit on, you'll get over it.

A piece of plastic that costs ~$130 or so.
As other posters have mentioned, the tray will straighten back into its original form eventually and they are shipped that way most likely to reduce costs, as Clark_Kent mentioned.

If it doesn’t meet your expectations, then reach out to the seller for a refund/replacement and source the tray from another vendor that will ship it to you unrolled in a flat box.

Personally, I don’t think it’s worth the time and effort for that.

I received mine in the middle of summer in a condition that was not quite that bad, but still folded over. I would say after maybe 10-15 min in the hot summer sun it soft, pliable and ready for use. As others have said you may want to make the seller aware, but I think it should be fine.
