probably about a week before the track day when I test install the new wheels and tire..
-3.5 Camber up front and 0 toe
-1.5 Camber in the rear and 0.03Degrees toe in

Took it to a good alignment shop that does alignment for track rats so they are willing to work with you on the settings and make adjustment to custom suspension parts.

You can take it back for alignment and make sure the rear subframe is properly aligned. They should be able to tell with the "thrust angle". If that looks good, then you can have the steering rack sensor reset. When you do a couple alignments, the base setting of the sensor gets a bit out of wack and it is recommended to zero it after alignments.

Do you know of any DIY method for this ?? google Ai shows some steps but I aways take google ai result with a grain of salt.

As for the thrust angle, I remember seeing this in the alignment sheet, and i think it was green.

Not sure if there are any other solutions than the dealership to reset the steering rack angle sensor.

I guess that is one possibility, but I imagine if the issue has something to do with steering angle sensor miss behave that it would happen all the time ?? this pulling to the right only happens during 100mph+ braking zones... I tried braking pretty hard from 60mph to almost stop in an empty backroad while lightly holding the steering and it didn't do it.

for those who track their FL5, do you guys have any issues with the car pulling to the side (to the right in my case) during high speed threshold braking ??
I have tracked my FL5 three times using stock tire and i didnt have this issue, but during last week track day with new lightweight wheels and 200TW tires, I am getting this pulling when braking at the end of the straightaways at the track.

I am unsure if it was a me issue, or the car, I probably need to take a video to see if I am pulling the steering during threshold braking since I have no bucket or harness to hold me down.

When I have this issue, I am driving in individual mode with pedal dance.. I am not sure if it was any of the car traction control is causing this.

Right now I am at a lost, not sure what to check.. the brakes looks good and the fluid are fresh, and I always bleed at least the fluid in the caliper before any track day (4x pump and bleed on every bleeder valve on the caliper).

Is the pulling consistently one way (I know you said right, but is it pulling right in one corner or every corner), or does it just move around during braking?

I have to counter with the steering under braking frequently with combined loading and the rear getting light, but I do want the car to rotate and honestly I don't even notice it's doing it while driving (T1 at NSS is a good example - notice my steering - I'm turning the wheel right for a good portion of the braking in a left turn):



If it's just something like that, it's probably normal, but I don't know exactly what you are experiencing (video may help).

FWIW, I've re-aligned my car several times through various suspension changes, and I've done it all in my garage with toe plates - I've never needed to do anything for the steering angle sensor so far.

I should have clarified before, but steering angle reset really comes into play if the front subframe was re-aligned. From what I have been told, the reset is part of the recommended procedure per Honda after an (front) alignment is performed.

Sometime after I re-aligned my front subframe, I noticed that the lane assist would bug out some when I used cruise control. I also started to observe some minor pulling on the highway from time to time. Steering angle reset has seemly resolved the issues.

This happened to me on the track one day. Went to speed shop at the track, had brakes bled again, then went out with cold brakes and scrubbed the rotors clean with some hard stops. Hit the track in the morning and issue was gone. It was very disconcerting to say the least. It really felt like one of the calipers in the rear was applying more pressure than the other. Car was definitely moving sideways during hard braking from speeds over 120 mph.

This did not happen again on my last 5 track days either.

finally have the chance to swap the track pads back to street pads and I notice something abit odd. The right caliper appear to only consume the inside pads and the outer is barely used.
I am thinking something happened with the brake system somehow... I've tested to check and see if the piston is freely moving when there's hydraulic pressure and they all are.

I have not bleed the brake after the last track day, but before every track day I would bleed all corners, at least enough to replace the fluid that were in the calipers.

This was the first time I've experienced the issue and I've taken the CTR to the track 3 other time previously... there were 2 main differences compared to the last track day, first I was using a new wheel with 200TW tires, and I installed the wunderland rear brake brass bushing.
The first session everything feels good, the issue started to rear it self in the 2nd session and gets worse in the 3rd session.

Well after swapping the brake, while bedding the street pads, i dont feel the pulling, the car brake pretty evenly and straight..

I guess, I can only take the car back to the track and collect more data somehow.

For anyone interested, I finished day 1 at GL Mid-Ohio, and the day ended up going much better than it started. I was put in Group B (2nd fastest out of 5), which I thought might be ambitious as I've never been here, but it ultimately was horrible luck as it was dry for E, D, and C, and B (me) got dumped on in false grid - great way to get introduced to Mid-Ohio (managed a 1:58, fwiw).

Thankfully sessions 2 and 3 were dry - I think 2 should have been faster based on temps but I think the surface may have still not been 100% following the showers, so I ended up going fastest in session 3 (as did many others) with a 1:36.35 late in the day.

In FWD land I'm still chasing the 361whp/3000lb (w/driver) Elantra N which is .3s ahead, but I think if Saturday or Sunday morning are dry those will be the key sessions, so we'll see how it plays out.

Also, in my continued quest to reduce understeer, I increased the rear bar for the first time on the reverse stagger setup to 1884lb/in, and my other change that seems to be working ok (that I hesitated to mention after Midwest until I could drive on it more) is running no front bar.

Thanks! That didn't even feel like a save though - sometimes the car actually rotates a little. I've definitely had much bigger actual saves ?.

In other news, 0% chance of rain here apparently means 2hrs of light rain so we started soggy again - we'll see how it goes in the later sessions.

Thanks! I tried both but I can't really put power down well in 3rd coming over the crest in madness or into thunder valley and this saves 2 shifts so I figured I'd try it and although I'm not sure it was faster it didn't seem slower, and it's simpler.

If I had less power it would be 3rd for sure.

Yep - the ruleset is pretty open, but ya you can run whatever brakes you want.
