Wild weekend at MSR Houston last week. I managed to capture some gnarly footage of track debris ending my weekend early at MSRH. Right after the outlap of a session, my windshield shattered from debris kicked up on the track. I consider myself lucky it didn't pierce the windshield or slam into my front bumper.

Copy of PXL_20250308_212458932.jpg

Despite ending early, I was able to run 2 laps without traffic:
Damn that sucks. Kinda looks like the pucks used to lift Teslas. Also, probably a good time to remind everybody to run their visors down on track. Don’t want that thing coming through the side window and hitting you in the face.

I guess you got lucky was windshield instead of the body?

KW is the cancelation module to get. Two of mine got ruined by a bad install job from a authorized dealer. KW sent me 4 replacement modules no questions asked. If you don't install them then you will be stuck in sport mode not able to switch drive modes.
Thanks! This is the feedback I needed, definitely need to get those in then.

I believe this would be them (KW's site says they work for FK8 and FL5)?

There was a tire gauge and a go pro on the track this past weekend, and some guy kept spilling coolant everywhere! My student and I slid and did a 180 after running through some fresh coolant.

The track debris appears to be a Corvette jack puck like this one. Somebody must have left it on their car.

The freeze frame below of the debris looks exactly like it.

I had KW on the Golf R. FYI Ohlins cancellers were KW ones.

2 of them went bad, I had to pay to replace the 2, so I just ended up buying a new kit. Eventually someone took one apart and created a cheap one since it's really a resistor I believe.

KW's were notoriously spotty on the A90. RSR worked consistently, but not sure if they are available for the FL5

Don't trip because truthfully most people don't install them correctly or reinforce them. I'm on my 4th set of kw suspension. Customer service is why I stick with them.
Literally sent me a whole new replacement set because king motorsports botched the install.
