I have read that Acuity is coming out with their own shifter soon for the FL5. I would be interested to hear other forum members thoughts when they get one installed .......... ;-)
Yeeeaaahhhhh, whenever that happens you let me know. I'm on the tipping point of getting a hybrid shifter and waiting for the acuity. Unfortunately I'm impatient, and I've heard nothing short of great reviews about the hybrid shifter.

I will be pairing whichever one with the acuity Esco knob though, so that much at least is settled.

I have a titanium WC LatheWerks teardrop shift knob that sits higher than oem and also doesn't get crazy hot or cold like the aluminum oem knob. It also has a little more heft than stock but not quite as massive as a stainless one.

So got the Acuity Esco knob, works really well on the stock setup. Wish it was a bit more weighted.

To me OEM is the best outside of the weather either burning or freezing your hand. But I'll stick with the Esco one for now as it raises the height to something I like.

Today I installed the Hybrid Racing Short Shifter. the Clip on left side gave me a hard time, until I saw A LOT of pics of how is it to be installed. So another 8x as long install in the book.

Impressions of the shifter is that it's really nice, does add a little extra something to the experience. it's direct and well made, my only hesitation now is that I have a bum shoulder and this could exacerbate it, as this definitely takes more effort to shift now. I'll give it a few weeks and see how it goes.

I use the Hybrid shifter in the stock position which is marked "1" on the throw and gate adjustment. Position 2 took a little effort for 5th and 6th gear for me. Position 1 is awesome for the daily and the shifter does break in. For the clip I put a small wire tie around the outer edge and pulled gently until it came out. Then use the same method, finding the groove and stretching until it snaps on.

Anyone have the Spoon shift knob?

I see it weighs only 76 grams Vs OEM is 175 grams… seems kinda light

I had both Spoon duracon and aluminum shift knobs. The aluminum shift knob does weigh a little more, but not by much. As much as I like the Spoon shift knobs, I wished they weighed more, ended up switching them out for something with a bit more heft.

Big fan of Billetworkz shift knobs right now. They have several different options for Honda and they have a good weight to them.

I’m pretty happy with the Type S shift knob but kinda liked the look of the Spoon and the fact that it’s only $65 that it’s worth a try. But at almost a third of the weight was kinda eye opening
